Western greed, dictatorship and religious extremism is to blame in my opinion. It seems to be 'kill, or be killed' is the only rule applicable to survival in the last century or so... So sad.
To be clear, religious extremism has existed since Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son, the inquisitions, caliphate's wars & crusades, i don't just refer to middle eastern.
