These are boxes that we place school supplies, some clothing and hygiene supplies along with a few toys. They are then sent out to children at Christmas time that would other wise receive no Christmas presents. The ladies packing the boxes this week just raved over your patterns. Yes you sure can, I’ve seen a couple done in the plush yarn and they look great. If your yarn sheds a lot, you may need to still do the beard in regular yarn. 🥰
Lol, that was my one mistake when I got done! I was like, oh wait, it’s decorated all girly then I gave it a beard. You can instead join three or more strands of yarn around a stitch under the brim of the hat between the nose and arm and braid them for a girl. 😊
One question. If I crochet 48 front loop only wouldn't I have 48 stitches when I attach hat? When I attach body I don't have 36 stitches but 48. What am I doing wrong??? I'm old so I must be missing something 😢😢😢
You may be trying to go in the wrong row stitches. Row 24 is 36 stitches. Row 25 you are going into the front loops of row 24 and increasing to 48 stitches. Then doing rows 26 & 27 for the brim. Row 28, you are going back three rows, to the back loops of row 24 which was 36 stitches. Hope that helps 😊
