It's true! I've seen otherwise really nice shots ruined because they were crooked. Like I said in the video, it's pretty easy to fix in post, but a lot of people don't have the software or necessary knowledge to do that - which makes it all the more important to get it right the first time. :D
I needed a new bubble level for my Manfrotto 458b tripod and boom you came up. what are the chances that two TSG channels would connect this way?! AND both founded in the silicon valley?!
Great video John, my only Question how do you ensure that the replacement Levels are accurately installed, especially in respect of the slightly undersized one. They wouldn't need to be out much to give a false Reading bearing in mind that any inaccuracy would be magnified when viewing over a long distance, please don't think I'm being too hyper Critical. Look after yourself, best wishes
Great question Peter! The holes in the tripods are such that it would be practically impossible for the levels to go in crooked. I used my finger to feel for sunken and/or protruding edges and then checked the accuracy with a separate construction grade level.
Necessity is a mother! Good solution there John!
That's for sure. I need my levels!
Very nice, these are imperative. Thanks for the tutorial

I don't have a tripod, but Great tips John
If you ever want to do serious video shots, a tripod is a great investment.

Seems unlikely!
