I started carnivore diet a year ago after seeing one of your videos. One year later. 144 lbs down and still going. Your husband’s story has been inspiring to me. I have been trying to use similar guidelines when eating and working out. Thank you for the inspiration.
Tuna patties. Can of tuna (in water but drained) 3 large eggs 1/4 cup grated cheese. Pan fried in butter Yummy and for less than 2 bucks you got a meal.
Im 3 wks in and have stayed out of restaurants since I started. Went to a steak house tonight and they had fresh hot rolls before dinner. It was brutal! Then the group I was with ordered a bunch of deep fried appetizers. Again, difficult to resist. I stayed the course and ordered rib eye and grilled shrimp. Then desert, again, the cravings were fierce. For now, I'm going to avoid going out, until I adapt better to the carnivore diet. I eat a ton of butter, beef, and eggs, no veggies or fruit. Plus I quit drinking. Hope the cravings subside in the near future.
@@jw4302Same. About 2 months into carnivore and no alcohol now, and very little carb cravings. Zero carb intake, BBB&E only. Lost 20lbs. Going to get some blood work done after 90 days. I quit blood pressure and cholesterol meds, and feel much better.
@ronpage101 I'm 42, 5'9" 175lbs. I started lifting weights again after taking a break because of shoulder pain. I cut out processed foods and month ago. Now I just eat meat and veggies. Trying to get off my lisinopril prescription.
Best thing I ever did was reading the book Woman’s weight loss secrets: the unspoken truth, after applying the knowledge I got from the book I feel like the cellulite is magically disappearing from my body
When you cut out bread, processed foods, vegetables, fruit and all carbs and sodas and alcohol. It's cheaper to eat carnivore, and healthier! Thank you Laura. 😊
Fruits and vegetables are not the same as processed foods and sodas. I can't imagine eating meat every single day. She had pork rinds. Those are processed.
@@Aminah6623 I wanna know how people on carnivore diets have a bowel movement. I thought fiber fought inflammation and inflammation was the root of all diseases. I'm so confused.
@@destinyramsey4We’ve been lied to about EVERYTHING, literally! I just started carnivore and don’t have any issues with bowel movements. I’m still transitioning to carnivore, but I’m making every effort to learn as much as I can.
@@MzKitKat7 I have transitioned to keto over the month. Grains and wheat were the culprit of ALL my bloat. My only issue with keto is I have daily headaches. I drink electrolytes and eat salt like crazy. Still- headaches:(
I am a new carnivore and I started with prime ribeye steaks lol. I knew what I needed to do to not feel like I was depriving myself. A lot of people forget to mention that buying prime steaks or whatever meat and cooking it at home is significantly cheaper than eating out or ordering in. Eating carnivore at home is saving me money, regardless of what quality of meat I buy. I have noticed right away a decrease in appetite, so I have yet to even get through the eggs I initially stocked up on. My only enemies now are the free snacks at work lol
You can’t eat out on carnivore and stick to it,unless you order hard boiled eggs, everything cooked in a commercial kitchen is cooked with cheap oils and cooking sprays irreguardless of asking them to cook in butter chances are they won’t out of habit. You should limit eating out to a rare occasion in order to get the benefits of this eating plan.👍
@@JohnDiMartinoI called several restaurants ahead of time. Told them I couldn't have seed oils (not even a smidge). Many didn't have real butter on hand. However, Outback Steakhouse cooked a nice ribeye in real butter for me AND knocked off a couple bucks because I had zero side dishes. Another local restaurant let me bring my own butter (BYOB, haha) to cook my eggs in. Love them. In a pinch, fast food restaurant that use 100% beef patties sell them around $2/each off the ala carte menu.
One thing I like about Carnivore is that it's so simple. "Eat meat. Drink water." I see you got the red bag of Kroger burger patties. I get the orange bags because they're higher fat. High fat ground beef is generally cheaper than the lean stuff most people are looking for. Bacon and butter are what I find myself always going back for more of. Often the salt in the butter is all the "seasoning" I need. I'll second your warning about cheese. It's easy to eat too much and that can cause problems.
I make Bacon roll ups. Mix together beef mince, egg, salt until the texture firms up, then roll into them into fat short sausage shapes. Wrap each sausage in 1 middle bacon strip,, (the long one) and put onto an oven pan lined with baking paper. Cook in oven until nice and brown and firm to the touch. I haven’t tried cooking in air fryer but it’s worth a try. Delicious.
I love the way you keep things simple. I love simple, when there are too many steps, and rules I get overwhelmed. Then I quit because when I break a rule I feel like a failure. I appreciate your honesty regarding cheese. Cheese truly is a problem for me. I can relate to eating bricks of cheese. I just started this carnivore journey 11 days ago so I'm still trying to figure it all out. You have made is less stressful and easier for me by giving good but simple advice. Thank you!
I wish you the very best. DON'T beat yourself up. We are all human - although sometimes I am not to sure 😅 ( toxic people) . Have a wonderful weekend. I didn't start yet. I need to do this with chronic pain, neuropathy , and major fatigue.. My doctor said about getting my knee operated on and I am not doing that
I portion it out Get a 2# chunk of extra sharp Shred half Cut the rest in 1oz chunks, usually eat 1 + 1/2 another for full svg calcium. Only 1x a day I either have shredded or chunked I have homemade kefir also 1x a day (too lazy to make yogurt & u must culture both 24 hrs to get rid of most the carbs/lactose so store bought doesn’t wk)
I think that's the biggest thing that gets everybody when they start. They're so overwhelmed. They're like. What do I make? How do I make it? And they freak themselves out, just start simple bacon-and-eggs for breakfast for dinner. Either cook a steak or cook up some hamburger patties after the 1st month of acclimating. Then start getting creative, but don't get creative to begin with ill. Just stretch yourself out even more.
I did 90 days of Carnivore last summer. Felt pretty good. This summer I started to go through menopause. So I wondered if Carnivore would help. I started having bad hot flashes and not sleeping through the night- waking up 5-6 times per night. After 6 weeks I noticed my hot flashes were less intense. And other symptoms subsiding. I have had ZERO hot flashes for a week now. Not sure if this will stay and be my new normal- 3 months total of hot flashes. And now nothing. It’s crazy!!! Thank you meat!!!
I do buttered broth with eggs Get broth very hot, simmering Put egg yolks/whole eggs in a widemouth mason jar & stir (use a fork) with s&p, cubed butter and whatever else flavors (I use onion powder & vinegar) Pour a little broth in and stir. Pour some more in and stir. Ur tempering the eggs so they don’t scramble. Keep adding till half the broth is in then add the rest. Now use a stickblender first about 20 seconds and it’s a lovely rich delicious hot drink that’s a meal. Keeps u going hourssss I use 12oz broth 2T butter 2 whole eggs, 2 yolks or even 3 whole eggs & stickblend very thoroughly 1/4t salt, some pepper & onion powder Vinegar (I douse all my food w/vinegar)
Almost 1 year in on carnivore and about to hit the 70lb weight loss mark! We do a lot of burger in my house and always add butter to my burgers. 1tbls per 4 oz burger. It's my new bread and butter. 😊
I love how simple shopping is as a carnivore. In and out in way less time. Meat isle, egg and dairy isle. Occasionally a bag of pork rinds. That’s it! Seasonings are optional.
Day 3 of this diet. Feeling more energy and even a happy feeling that I can't describe. Yesterday was Day 2, and went shopping for nice steaks, but it was 48. for 3 steaks so I didn't buy them. We live n a rural area without many shopping choices unless we drive far. The store DID have bottom round roasts that looked very fresh and were on sale. I paid only 11. to 14 on 3 whole roasts. My husband sliced the roasts into steaks. They actually grilled up well as steak! I am really excited to see if I can really lose weight eating this way! I turn 55 this year, am a mom of 6 adults, and 9 grandkids. I also work f/t in an office, with a bunch of women that love to bake and bring baked good to work, constant pot-lucks, etc. I was Vegan for 7 years, so it is REALLY surprising to me that I am trying this diet now. I really felt like all of the carbs were killing me. I gained 40 pounds over the last 2, post-menopausal years. I ride my bike every morning before work, so I do get in a great workout. I am feeling more energetic not eating carbs, but only on Day 3, so not sure if it will continue to feel good.
I just discovered those bottom round roasts at my local WinCo. They are always at a reasonable price, so I bought a few for my freezer. I cook them in my Ninja Foodi-- first sear them in butter, then add a cup of water and cook on the pressure setting for 40 min. You also get a good quantity of fabulous broth, which I sip or freeze.
I'm just starting out, too. I got derailed the first time by letting myself get dehydrated when our weather turned hot, and binging on watermelon...😢 Going right back at on it, wiser this time!
@@donettegibsonby the end of the first 2 weeks of ketovore, all my hot flashes went away! Dryness too 👍🏻 Staying away from sugar and eating more fat is what works for me
I will also use pork rinds for breading on pork chops or pork steaks. I usually don't get the bloats from cheese or dairy, but I also fast on a 19/5 schedule during the week and a 17/7 on the weekends. I will use fresh cheese like fresh Mozz as a snack.
My husband an I started carnivore 60 days ago, I'm down 34 lbs and he is down 27. I started at 368 lbs. I feel so much better, my back pain used to be so horrible that I would cry from the pain while walking around the grocery store or trying to do normal things. I thought thatvwe couldn't afford carnivore. The money that we save on yucky foods that we would normally impulse buy we put towards our new lifestyle and we end up spending less. Also we eat less.
❤😊happy 4 yall. I just started, on doing some of this because of my liver . Doctor ordered. Looking for so much more, help in better foods to e as t. That I can afford. Of yall have any way you can help me finds ways. I surely will be forevermore thankfully 😊
Go for it! I started about 10 months ago followed Laura Spath, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Eric Westman and many more. Keto, Ketovore or straight Carnivore. Lost a lost of weight, had to buy a lot of new clothes - no regrets. I hope to stay on this diet for the rest of my life and only wish I had started before I became so insulin resistant. I hope it works for you.
Laura, this is the first time I've seen your videos. I am new to Carnivore just this week. You did a great job here showing and explaining about the foods you eat. This was VERY helpful to me! I am headed to the grocery store today and I hace my list ready. Thank you for the great info!
I make and keep compound butter in the freezer. I use it on top of my steaks and chops and it is wonderful. There are a million different types but I stick with the roasted garlic. Yum!
When eating things like chicken or liver, I like to add a little bit of sour cream to the juices to make a creamy sauce. It makes the meal a bit more satisfying for me and also dampens the livery flavor of the liver.
Hey Laura, I’m super-excited to find your channel right as I transitioned from Keto to carnivore after having lost 65 lbs. I was one of those repeatedly failed Keto dieters - this time it’s a matter of life and death for me. I live in Europe where carnivore isn’t a “thing” so I am totally fascinated by all these products available in the USA now - like cheese wraps??! OMG! Fabulous! Thank you for making such a great channel and for all the helpful tips you give in every video ❤
I can't do it because hubby will not consider carnivore, but it does help, since I only buy the carb stuff for hubby. It's been interesting to have to make potatoes, pasta, veggies for hubby while not eating it.
@@creinicke1000 or Deviled eggs really helped to look like a "side" that's still carnivore (I use avocado oil mayo but you can use bacon grease to make mayo)
Mine isn't carnivore and it doesn't stop me. You can eat the meatballs without sauce and let him have his sauce and pasta. Don't let him keep you from doing what you need to do.
Great video! I like how you’re not all about pasture raised. That can get really expensive. I say buy what you can afford cause at the end of the day it beats fast food and ultra processed foods.
I am all about variety with my carnivore diet. I supplement my regular grocery store meats with some exotic stuff from Wild Fork. Our favorite is alligator loin dipped in butter sooooo good and a nice change from my usual ribeyes.
Laura, thank you for this video! It's a wonderful instructional one for anyone who is contemplating carnivore diet. I absolutely agree with you about not shying away from cheaper cuts of meat and cheaper fish as well. And most importantly checking ingredients! You've summed it up so nicely
I just sent this video to my friend who is PCOS and is interested in starting carnivore. I've been doing carnivore for 11 months and she's seen my results. My top game changers have been variety (as described in this video) and the right cooking devices. My favorites are the Ninja Foodie Smart Grill and the Chef iQ pressure cooker.
I LOVE the Ninja Foodie grill and my pressure cooker! I cooked a tomahawk steak on it and it fit! It was on sale at Sam's Club for 25 bucks. It was the only one there and I felt like it was a gift. Man it was good! Always wanted to try one. I didn't want to spend the $50 though.
Put on pan and season w/s&p. Top each with lemon slice. Roast at 400 for 45 min. I eat the slice too. Save grease! Take skin off each and put on pan, puncture with fork several times on each thigh-mix vinegar, herbs, s&p and pour over each thigh so it goes down into holes. Save skins to fry in cast iron for chicken CRACK (s&p). U won’t believe it when u try it!
You are the best!! Always such great advice!! All your video got me through so many meals. Man I cooked the best Ribeye ever after watching your videos on how to pick and cook one. The other meals that are super simple were lifesavers. Thanks again for all you do!!
I live in England and judging by what you have bought there its much cheaper in USA to get all that here would be around $150 minimum but im amazed at the amount you eat in a week for 2 people!😮 i eat know where near that (i know its for 2)2 meals a day of meat and eggs i have and im a muscular man costs me around £30(ruff guess $45)a week and like said theres big difference in price here
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping others ❤😊 I'm slowly doing this diet because of severe inflammation and RA, sjogrens disease. Autoimmune diseases. Lost my husband 7 months ago and the stress level and being sick 😫 is overwhelming. Eating now lots of meats and green vegetables. A little dairy 😋. I am following my Dr's advice also and a dietitian. 😊❤
I have followed your channel several months or more. I know I need to be carnivore. I know this. I just cannot eat "meat" only. I need variety and also a cup of broccoli with supper. Thank you, so much, for all of your recipes, ideas and tutorials. I am the person that knows I feel better very low carb but just gets overwhelmed with the thought of another burger patty for supper. Your channel is a Godsend for me.
The most significant success to losing weight is mindset. People who have lost weight, made a choice to lose weight. There is more than one diet, or eating less, to lose weight. Then overall health and nutrition based on what diet you choose is important too.
My Safeway 🏊♂️🏝🌊on Oahu often sells ground beef 2lbs for $5. I buy at least 16 lbs. I have a 2 compartment burger press and each takes 6 oz. I stack them up and freeze them with dividers so they don't get stuck together. 😋
I live on Maui. Have you noticed at Safeway most of the steaks are cut super thin? It's what people can afford. Prices are crazy here. Your burger press is a great idea. I'll have to get one. Our Long's drugstore has local beef in their refrigerator section. I find it to be priced pretty well. Do the Long's on Oahu have the local beef?
@@mlc7497 I bought my burger press at City Mill. Last time I bought ground beef, I waited until the last day of the sale. Although it was $3.97 per lb, they had none left so they sold me the local grass fed kind ($11.99/lb) for the sale price! I scored! 🐂🐂 I did notice my Safeway leaves a ton of fat on the underside of tri-tip when it is on sale. But I actually want the fat 🤗👍🥳 It crisps up nicely in small pieces in my air fryer. 😋
Aloha, I just started today I started off with some beef brisket which was so yummy I am a good Polynesian girl and I weigh 380 I wasn't a person that ate meat all the time I loved all of the sugar stuff all the snacks and cakes and you name it. So today I started with my sister and I'm so encouraged reading all your comments. God bless you all
I love these videos best! I've been at this (well, ketovore) for a *really* long time and I like to be reminded of the basics again from another perspective on a regular basis. It helps keep me focused and helps keep me from wandering off the ranch! 😂 Thanks, Laura!
Great video. I was feeling jealous of the bacon/pork and chicken and eggs! With weird autoimmune stuff, I've had to resort to lion diet b/c it's more than just the weight I'm fighting, but I hope to one day get back to eating those old carn favs. Have been at this for about a year now (with some considerable cheating on and off) and lost about 60 lbs w/about 40 more to go. Thanks for all your help on this trip!😊
Chuck eye steaks are my favorite. I actually work in the meat/seafood department of Frys. Always check out their markdown sections, you can often grab some great deals on items that are reduced. Especially if you see something you can use for that same day. I'm also a big fan of their service case Applewood smoked bacon, it's nice and thick and so delicious!
I like your channel because you show what one can eat, the variety of meats, how to prepare, etc. Starting carnivore can be intimidating and having a carnivore actually show how they do carnivore is priceless to continue this way of eating. Thank you
i just started and so happy that i can find you, so grateful for the very useful info, esp make it sustainable for the daily consumption... more encouraged and more possible to implement, in tremendous gratitude🥰🥰🥰
Portable foods are good to know about, too, for peoplewho want a good lunch for work, etc. Boiled eggs, meat sticks, packets of salmon or tuna, individually wrapped cheese portions. I do meat-based, and all of these things are great for road trips or picnics.
I am just starting life in the carnivor diet ( only on day 6). But the biggest thing I will suggest to anyone wanting to go down this rout. Is either learn to butcher/ cut your own meat. Or if you can buy in bulk from a local butcher. If you do alot of ground beef, buy a meat grinder. You will save alot of money in the long run.
I was lazy and tried your taco recipe with some shaved rib-eye for sandwiches. I used "Slap Yo Mama" Cajun spice and Colby/jack shredded cheese. Crunch satisfying YUM!!!
OMG in New Zealand that amount of carnivore food would be well over $200. All meat, fish, eggs and dairy here are ultra expensive. We export our best meat, fish and dairy.
I really appreciate your “haul” videos, you have made this journey more doable for me. I’m not in this change for weight loss, just feeling better which I am. It’s really hard to change the way I think about fruits and veggies, though, but focusing on meat is so freeing! My husband and 16yo son do not follow carnivore but they have been enjoying several meal options that you have shared. Thank you so much and keep up the great videos!
Hey Laura, thank you for making these videos. They're just what I needed. I'm new to carnivore (about 5 weeks) and have learned so much from yours as well as Dr Berry's Video's! Heading over to your web page now. Thanks again...
I’m in Arizona and Bashas grocery stores have a great meat dept and prices are good! I don’t get my meat at Walmart anymore. I’ve been low carb meat based for awhile. Love it! There’s nothing better than a meal of steak drenched in butter!
last 3 months I only ate beef or eggs.Lietrally nothing else. Beef n eggs.Im actually surprised Im not burnt out on it. It got to the point I feel like Im eating a desert when I make perfect scrambled eggs..I had almost non existing or superlow ammount of carbs or sugar and Im doing just fine..whatever is in eggs and beef keeps me going
My absolute favorite meal, when I was doing carnivore, was ground beef and white cheese with salt. I could eat that 24/7. I got off track and dr horrified me, telling me my total cholesterol was 250!! I love what you're doing!!
Great video Laura! Aldi’s in Paradise Valley (maybe elsewhere) has had organic grass fed boneless ribeye, new york strip & bacon wrapped chuck filet on sale the past couple of weeks. I stop in the am on my way home from the gym & buy a bunch to tuck in the freezer. They get fresh delivery every day. Worth a look if Aldi’s is nearby. Also, for Phoenix peeps, two local ranchers Heartquist Hollow Farms & JH Grassfed Beef sell at local farmer’s markets & you can affordably buy a 1/4, 1/2 or whole cow or lamb or pig. Both are locally raised, organic, grass fed & finished, no hormones or antibiotics. Best way I’ve found to stay carnivore & keep local producers in biz.
Thank you so much for sharing your grocery list with us! 😊 You are the best, and we love you so much!!! ❤️ Keep your video up so we can learn more from you and our comments! 😊
Dear Laura, thank you for this video. I am currently thinking to have a go at carnivore diet, since I have struggled with my weight (on and off) for years and can not get the lifestyle I want. This video is a HUGE help.
@@YeshuaKingMessiah, that must depend on where you buy your sirloin. I've been buying mine at a Braum's. (They are located in OK, TX, KS, MS, and AK) You won't be able to cut them with your fork, but they are very tender and flavorful. If the sirloin you're buying is too tough, I would recommend you find a different provider. If they're not offering good sirloin, you probably aren't getting the best in Ribeye either.
@@michelemcdowell9221, ribeye was my favorite until I started the carnivore diet. That was the cut of meat I ate the most at first, but overtime, there was something about the texture, and I think, maybe too much fat? Anyway, one day I cooked up a sirloin, and I haven't been able to go back to the ribeye. The sirloin is so good. Maybe it's because you do have to chew a little more. They ones I've gotten are not tough, but they definitely require more chewing than the ribeyes. But I think that's what makes them more satisfying too. My favorite meal: half pound sirloin, sausage or hamburger patty, two fried eggs and bacon. It's really good, and keeps me satisfied for the next 24 hours.
I seem to be able to handle a rendered fat from beef pretty well. I drizzle the grease over my burger or steak and use it like gravy. Granted I tend to buy leaner ground beef so there isn't a ton of grease. Adding butter does make it extra creamy enhancing the likeness to gravy.
Thank you! I am New to your channel. This video is very helpful. My notes for me & to remember to check ingredients. LMNT 1. Ribeye 2. Pork loin 3. Ground beef 4. Chuck roast 5. Bacon 6. Eggs 7. Chicken thighs 8. Frozen burger patties 9. Whipped butter 10. Fish, shrimp or seafood 11. Pork rinds 12. Seasonings- start w/ just salt Cost $105.94
Good vid! My go-to chicken thigh recipe is Goya Adobo (very clean) and Redmond's Real Seasoned salt on both sides. Put on a rack over a foil-lined pan at 425F for 40-45 minutes. Super-crispy skin, esp if you spread the extra skin out on the rack. Yum yum! 👍😁
@@LisaNix2 It works best with the bone-in thighs, unless you are able to de-bone and still keep the skin on them. If you have to go with boneless AND skinless, I'd suggest turning down the heat to 385-390, and just do them for about 30-35 minutes. Hope you give them a try and enjoy!
Absolutely love your videos. We are from arizona. We live in tennessee now. We have the ability to grow our own beef, chicken and pork, which is a huge blessing. Just a suggestion, try looking at a mexican meat, butcher or try finding a local farmer that you can buy large quantities of meat from you will save a ton.
Wow I can't get over how different you look I am new to your channel but will definitely be watching do you do IF to, as someone who in the last 18 months has completely changed her diet around no seed oils no processed food definitely no white sugar and now at 66 really starting to reap much better health, I take it that your meat is free range chemical free
I did use cheese a lot at the beginning, but have noticed lately that I don't even want it often. I will use strong tasting cheese like Parm, you don't need much but have that flavor. Thanks for all your info, your videos are great!
If you want to extend your ground beef while adding some variety, mix in some pork sausage or ground pork and cook it all together. Be careful if going for sausage though. Most have soy fillers as their 2nd or 3rd ingredient, as well as other disgusting ingredients. There are some out there though that are just pork and spices, you just have to look.
Started today after a fall out✌️✌️✌️im back up on carnivore today again, tend to eat for comfort but im working on getting past this behaviour… so carnivore is the best for me, cravings and sugar addiction must be curbed🤞🤞thanks Laura for inspiration 😃😃😃
Wonderful lesson. Just fantastic. As I watched, it occurred to me that this kind of information should be a mandatory lesson in every high school and college. Of course, it would have to be supplemented with lessons about WHY CARNIVORE? or WHY KETO?..... with the main lesson being to stay away from soda pop and beer, simple carbs (eg, chips) and salad dressings IF you want to avoid or cure obesity and foggy brain. Thank you Laura, for a terrific, real-world-based home ec lesson.
I may be brainwashed at 78, but no one yet has told me it is safe eat a whole lot of saturated fat at age 78, after a stroke, and having a 3 wire pacemaker. I feel great after losing 30 pounds, but still need to lose 25 more to get to an ideal weight. I can't make myself eat a ribeye steak, and it isn't just a new thing. I wouldn't eat chicken skin or meat fat as a kid. I believe it is the texture as well as the slimy feeling in my mouth that had kept me from eating it. I can handle vinegar and oil just fine, but not meat fat. I generally eat sirloin steak, or ground beef. I am working on keto without high glycemic carbs so far. I add EVOO to ground beef and other meats.
$5.77 a pound for Ribeye's. I don't care who's behind me and in need. I'm a selfish jerk...not really. But hell. I will buy $100 worth of those. That one in your pack has that perfect rib cap. That there is worth more than gold in this family.
Most times they put a 2 pkg. limit but if you self check they will not say anything to you; I did not realize this; they had 3 rib eye steaks cut 1/2 in thick for $15/ $17; I bought 4 packs with ended up being 12 steaks then hubby went back and got two more; which makes it 17 18 steaks; then that day they also had 3 lbs. of 80/20 hamburger meat for $6.99 I bought 2 of those which in combination with chicken, sausage, pork loin and a couple of roast I have; gives us enough for more than two more months of meat; I just happened to be at the store that day; I am going to start looking at all the weekly ads; grocery cost can be high when you don't look for sales.
Laura, it was you who introduced me to Carnivore when a video of yours popped up in my feed. At first, I couldn't wrap my head around the concept of meat only, no veggies (I do miss salads). Eventually, I started following it and learning along the way. Still learning. I'm about a year in. I didn't weigh so can't say how much I've lost. My clothes tell me I'm going in the right direction. My annual physical is coming up so will find out how well this year has been. I kind of think I need a reset. In a year, my driver's license needs renewing. That's motivation to be more active, drink more water and maybe fast more. Thanks for the tips.
Hi Laura, thanks for sharing tips on the Carnivore diet. I'm 40 days in and let me tell you, it has been tough! I'm learning so much. For example, how I LOVE sugar and its crazy how much sugar is in stuff like sauces and milk. Like you, I found that I need to cut back on dairy. It was very hard to go to black coffee. Even then that's not good because it dehydrates you. I absolutely love the Watermelon flavor of LMNT! I've become a nutrition fact checker and am trying to be better. I've had a couple instances where I've gone off the deep end because I'm craving sugar (ice cream and Oreos during my cycle... TMI right? But it happens). If anyone is experiencing that, I would encourage you to stick with more healthy options and prepare yourself beforehand so if it you SPLURGE, healthy is your go to instead of the crap. Just jump right back in! My older brother told me about the app Yuka where you can scan the barcode on food items to see if they're good or bad. Anyway, thank you and take care!
I live really close to a Sam's Club and I have membership that allows me to get in early. At least once a week I go early and check for marked down meats. I can't always find any, but usually there's something that looks tasty and is several dollars a pound off regular pricing. As soon as I'm home I use a food sealer and freeze much of it. As I'll be going again in a week or so, nothing stays frozen too long. This week I got several packs of thin sliced ribeye (not my favorite, but it was cheap), a couple of t-bones with enough tenderloin to be called a porterhouse anywhere else, and some top round...all marked down.
I started carnivore diet a year ago after seeing one of your videos. One year later. 144 lbs down and still going. Your husband’s story has been inspiring to me. I have been trying to use similar guidelines when eating and working out. Thank you for the inspiration.
Congrats! That's a heck of a win!!
Wow that is incredible!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Amazing job!
Wow, that's awesome work! 😃👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥳 Well done you!

Hip Hip Hooray 🎉 🎉
Tuna patties. Can of tuna (in water but drained) 3 large eggs 1/4 cup grated cheese. Pan fried in butter
Yummy and for less than 2 bucks you got a meal.
Thanks! 😊👍
Thank you. I was wondering about tuna. I had a can last night, just tuna, not great but filling. These patties sound great.👍
Add couple tbsp butter on the side
It’s very lowfat
Great, thanks for that, started a month ago and I'm bored to tears with meat 😂. Also they'd be really good to take for lunch.
3 large eggs sounds like a lot.If you're using a regular small size can of tuna so i'm going to assume you are using a large can of tuna😮
If you grind up the pork rinds, you can use those in meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs with an egg. Comes out perfect each time.
Sounds good
Im 3 wks in and have stayed out of restaurants since I started.
Eating healthy made me pretty much stop drinking beer.

@ronpage101 I'm 42, 5'9" 175lbs. I started lifting weights again after taking a break because of shoulder pain. I cut out processed foods and month ago. Now I just eat meat and veggies. Trying to get off my lisinopril prescription.
Hoping and praying for your success.
When you get good at cooking steak, it’s really disappointing how bad restaurant steak is. Hang in there!

Kerrygold, irish butter is the best. It's made from milk from grassfed cows.
Kerrygold is worth every penny
Kerrygold unsalted has added milk not just heavy cream. I switched to Truly, delicious!
@gabrieledean8225 no added milk in the version I buy here in Ireland. Kerygold USA, unsalted, appears to have skimmed milk strangely.
Carnivore crisp, jerky, and pork skins is a great snack to bring with you to work.
Ha I agree work is a landmind, you sure have to go armed with your own food to keep temptation at bay!
Stay strong. Don’t let those snacks boss you around.
One thing I like about Carnivore is that it's so simple. "Eat meat. Drink water."
I see you got the red bag of Kroger burger patties.

My doctor said about getting my knee operated on and I am not doing that
I portion it out
Get a 2# chunk of extra sharp
Shred half
Cut the rest in 1oz chunks, usually eat 1 + 1/2 another for full svg calcium.
Only 1x a day I either have shredded or chunked
I have homemade kefir also 1x a day (too lazy to make yogurt & u must culture both 24 hrs to get rid of most the carbs/lactose so store bought doesn’t wk)
I make egg drop soup from bone broth and eggs , not everyday just for a change.
I do buttered broth with eggs
Get broth very hot, simmering
Put egg yolks/whole eggs in a widemouth mason jar & stir (use a fork) with s&p, cubed butter and whatever else flavors (I use onion powder & vinegar)
Pour a little broth in and stir. Pour some more in and stir. Ur tempering the eggs so they don’t scramble. Keep adding till half the broth is in then add the rest. Now use a stickblender first about 20 seconds and it’s a lovely rich delicious hot drink that’s a meal. Keeps u going hourssss
I use 12oz broth
2T butter
2 whole eggs, 2 yolks or even 3 whole eggs & stickblend very thoroughly
1/4t salt, some pepper & onion powder
Vinegar (I douse all my food w/vinegar)
Bone broth is really healthy. And I love eggs! 👍🏼
YUM!!!!
That sounds good. My favorite soup is egg drop soup of course they want to use MSG. But doing it with bone broth oh that sounds good😊

If you soak the liver in milk before cooking , it removes the strong flavour and odor.
Hey Laura, I’m super-excited to find your channel right as I transitioned from Keto to carnivore after having lost 65 lbs. Would love to see a couple of your chicken thigh recipes

I am just starting life in the carnivor diet ( only on day 6). But the biggest thing I will suggest to anyone wanting to go down this rout. Is either learn to butcher/ cut your own meat. Great video Laura! Aldi’s in Paradise Valley (maybe elsewhere) has had organic grass fed boneless ribeye, new york strip & bacon wrapped chuck filet on sale the past couple of weeks.

Dear Laura, thank you for this video. I am currently thinking to have a go at carnivore diet, since I have struggled with my weight (on and off) for years and can not get the lifestyle I want. This video is a HUGE help.
I started out eating the ribeye for dinners, but after a month, found that I preferred the sirloin or New York strip. That has helped on the budget.
Sirloin so tough
N no where near the exquisite taste of ribeyes or strip
@@YeshuaKingMessiah, that must depend on where you buy your sirloin. I've been buying mine at a Braum's. (They are located in OK, TX, KS, MS, and AK) You won't be able to cut them with your fork, but they are very tender and flavorful. If the sirloin you're buying is too tough, I would recommend you find a different provider. If they're not offering good sirloin, you probably aren't getting the best in Ribeye either.
I only wat sirloin steaks. Not a fan of ribeye
@@vickiebabcock9951 I lived in NYS most my life but down south now for past 4 yrs
No Braum’s
Excellent video Laura and kuddos to you and your family for getting healthy and staying the course! You are an inspiration! Thanks!

Is your recipe for boneless or on the bone? I want to try this please
Great value. I have been buying grass fed/finished beef. Maybe I don’t need to be perfect.
I. Just starting too this is awesome I love pork rinds and I stopped them because someone told me I would have a heart attack lol
Actually grass-fed/ finished is higher in vitamins and also you're not getting GMO corn and soy that conventional cows are fed.
Pork rind nachos are amazing
If you want to extend your ground beef while adding some variety, mix in some pork sausage or ground pork and cook it all together. Be careful if going for sausage though. Most have soy fillers as their 2nd or 3rd ingredient, as well as other disgusting ingredients. There are some out there though that are just pork and spices, you just have to look.
I just buy plain ground pork...most sausage meat has fillers in it I noticed that too.
I love your meatball recipe! I love to have those in my freezer for something quick.
The video I needed! I’m starting this week, going grocery shopping tomorrow
$5.77 a pound for Ribeye's. I don't care who's behind me and in need. I'm a selfish jerk...not really. But hell. I will buy $100 worth of those. That one in your pack has that perfect rib cap. That there is worth more than gold in this family.
Same.
8.99 lb, I bought 30
I know right.
This video was insanely helpful!! Thank you so much... I just subscribed and liked
The coast is stunning, beautiful sea views!
Thanks for sharing your journey truly inspiring 🙏 be blessed 🙌
