Explore Loughborough Central and beyond through the 1960s

This wonderful film comes from the lens of the late Geoff Parton. Geoff filmed around Loughborough Central on the Great Central Railway capturing several different types of trains and various locomotives.
He also ventured north and filmed around the viaduct across the River Soar.
Geoff's later went on to the project manage the relaying of a second track at the GCR between Loughborough and Rothley, delivering the unique double track network we all enjoy today. His film gives a taste of what is to come after the Reunification project is completed.
