When your soul isn't right And it's raw to the night It's in your Hands When the traces of dark come To fade in the light You're in safe hands Heavy seas of love Radiance is in you As above so below on the Heavy seas of love Heavy seas of love We come together in you Counting out the new moons on the Heavy seas of love If the world is too tall You can jump you won't fall You're in safe hands What the day will now give How those seeds will now live It's in your hands Heavy seeds of love Radiance is in you As above so below on the Heavy seas of love Heavy seas of love We come together in you Counting out the new moons on the Heavy seas of love Heavy seeds of love Radiance is in you As above so below on the Heavy seas of love Heavy seas of love Radiance is in you Counting out the new moons on the Heavy seas of love
I seriously don't get how someone can be so beautiful and so talented at the same time , and I just found out that my uncle is meeting him on Thursday in London and I want to cry :-(
Eno's part of the original song has sorta grown on me but damn, I wish Albarn had simply sung the whole thing. It probably would've been my favorite track on the album.
Love this song, I do find the beginning verses to sound like Daydream Believer by The Monkees. Probably not intentional, still great. Excited for new Gorillaz album, wish he wouldn't keep shitting on Blur. Tours, puts album out with them, enjoys himself on stage. Then makes it sound like they are worse than dirt
Well I mean Damon has been quoted a few times saying that On stage he loves preforming and then afterwards goes back into his life and doesn't need it. He has said things along the lines of "I try to avoid being In Blur". I mean just watch the documentaries "No Distance Left To Run" and "New World Towers" he clearly wants to do his other stuff and finds Blur to be a burden. I think he doesn't mind preforming just doesn't want to put the time and work into it that he would with Gorillaz. I mean the "The Magic Whip" probably wouldn't have happened if A) It wasn't recorded quickly B) Graham did all the hard work by editing it down and giving it some vision. Just can't see anymore Blur albums happening if this is the way of working that suites them best. Honestly it kinda of remind me of Tom Delonge (of topic) from Bink 182. He clearly has out grown the Blink 182 style and wants to move on with Angels and Airwaves. I feel the same is with Damon he looks fondly on Blur but his heart and artistic direction belong to Gorillaz (and side projects). However I actually like Tom in AVA over Blink, but prefer Damon in Blur to Gorillaz. I mean I'm excited for new Gorillaz album but wish he could balance both projects and have the drive for each one. Blur can still experiment like Gorillaz but in a different way. In the end as much as I loved "The Magic Whip" (#4 on top Blur albums) its still just a mishmash of songs with no direction and changes up. It keeps it interesting but feel like its just trying to get all the styles from Britpop, Alt Rock, Electronic, Mellow soft songs ,Etc all wrapped into one. "The Magic Whip" is still great and an awesome return. If Blur decide to record again they need to get a sound and RUN WITH IT. Hold nothing back like 13 (even Think Tank had a feel to it). We have our so so safe come back record, now lets Blow the walls down. Doubt it will ever happen. Here hoping. Love Blur, Love Damon, Like Gorillaz ALWAYS.
Jordan Vail Yeah I agree on the Magic Whip part. It probably wouldn't have happened if not for Graham. But I think we got very different impressions from the documentaries. I think the problem isn't that Damon isn't as interested on Blur as he used to, but than he is interested in a fuckton of things. 'Cause, if you stop to think about it, every project he does aside from Blur and Gorillaz feels like a side project, and nothing more. He doesn't even try to make it look important most of the times. But I do wish Blur would remain performing and putting out songs. I really prefer Damon's presence in Blur to his in Gorillaz. Also, Blur has Graham. Nothing beats Graham
yes he's a good piano player but not a good guitarist. Besides that, if you watch him in a lot of lives, he always plays all his chords with the same fingerings, like a E major.
@@billyjoe8759 But why does he play a guitar with only four strings? No wonder chords are missing if strings are missing. He can only play root notes I suppose with such setup.
@@KTK44 In this song, he only uses the 3rd, 4th, fifth and sixth strings. He doesn't pick the two first with his fingers. My opinion is that he pulled these strings out not to mess up his part on guitar. Because I guess as he can't play the two first strings because they are removed, he doesn't miss the 4 other strings.
I fucking love Damon Albarn, everything hes done is pure genius, Gorillaz, Blur, The Good, The Bad and The Queen, now this... Amazing
He comes across as a bit of a douche but he's a great artist.
Damon Albarn is a genius, nothing else to add.
When your soul isn’t right
And it’s raw to the night
It’s in your hands
When the traces of dark come
To fade in the light
You’re in safe hands
If a man says those words to me he will have my heart no doubt about it.
The amount of love that I have for him. It hurts.
The acapello part is just... there're no words to describe it...
this might just be one of the best songs, ever
Super underrated
Damon is just as beautiful as his music
Thank you damon. You make me feel better.
THIS MAN KNOWS HOW TO HANDLE MUSIC!
He is a composer… one of the big ones in history.
Zou mean, - G. F. Handle's music?
Damon represents what's purest and natural when it comes to music
Best song of the decade so far, with or without Brian Eno singing on it! For those who listen to it: "Radiance is in YOU!"

I don't follow, sorry. Care to elaborate?
On the Blur bit

Wow *-*
i though the song lyrics was "Heavy waves of love..." I guess is what you get from tumultuous seas of love.
I mean the song is called heavy seas of love lol
A little bit of Daydream Believer in this one.
Fun Fact: The reason why some of the chords on his guitar are missing is because he never really got it down on how to play them.
yes he's a good piano player but not a good guitarist. Besides that, if you watch him in a lot of lives, he always plays all his chords with the same fingerings, like a E major.

It's easier for him this way.
That guitar has 4 strings? Kinda weird but cool
Jesus, Damon...
Si quelqu'un aurait la tablature des arpèges, je suis preneuse !
I'm a but confused as to who's the old guy at the back
he looks much like Damon himself
just noticed that his guitar has two strings and even two tuners removed
The elitist audience to this epic song has been stunned
julian casablancas is that you?
i don't get it :D
Where are his other two guitar strings? -w-
WTH is up with this crowd!! I would dance and sing along.
Why does his guitar only got four strings?
What a tough crowd... they wouldn't participate in the hand clapping.
Enrique Z usually when it’s tv or radio recordings the crowd is asked to be quiet 😬😬 i know i would be really frustrated hahaa
2:20 Bob Dylan?
what guitar is he using?
He always plays that same chord shape up and down the neck. Every single song. I wonder if he’s using alternate tunings. Really good song nonetheless!
Ok io ora piango porcoddio :')
non so chi tu sia ma grazie
he removed the bottom strings? haha
Nice song, even though the verse reminds me melodically of the verse of Michael Jackson's 'heal the world'!
ahahaa ''this is his part''
He exudes so much sexual magnetism
Where's his piercing? D:
hermoso
Wow, the beginning is identical to "Heal the World" by Michael Jackson.
Good for you.
Noticed that too! Unconscious influence I hope...
similar but not identical. good spotting tho.
This live version should have been the last track on the album instead of the Eno monstrosity.
