Been there right in the beginning of the pandemic, in February, 2020. Oh, wish there were so much snow back then! They barely had enough snow to build bunch of kamakuras on one of the banks of the river. Then we went to Takaragawa Onsen, there we no snow at all! And after that we went to Tokamachi, there is one of many japanese snow festivals is held. And yeah, there was almost no snow either -_- This was my first winter trip to Japan, wanted to see those iconic places covered in snow, but no luck. Thanks for the video, now I know how Yunishigawa should look during this time of a year! Been staying at that Ageha ryokan with all the statues by the way. There are a lot more of them inside too, it looks more like a museum inside!
