    Whats the lifespan of this bus?

      @BraydenBachlott  2 года назад +1

      A typical transit bus in North America has a service lifespan typically between 12-15 years, though this varies depending on various factors, such as maintenance and build quality. It's not unheard of for certain buses to run in service for 20+ years.

      @@BraydenBachlott so how long will this bus be in service if its 12 - 15 years?

    • @BraydenBachlott

      @@bangvec Since this bus entered service in 2016 (6 years ago), this bus should have 9 years left in service. so it will likely retire in 2031.

      @@BraydenBachlott why do you think this bus cant live up to 17 or 18 years?

      @@bangvec CNG buses are somewhat limited in their lifespans because their CNG tanks usually expire around the 15-year mark. Most transit agencies elect to replace the entire bus instead of replacing the CNG tanks, including WMATA. That's the reason why the C40LFR buses haven't been running much lately.
