Hi all! I'm so sorry it took so long 😭I missed you all a lot!! 💕
Welcome back
♥️
YESS IT’S HERE❤❤❤❤
Dude i do not care how long it took how the hell do you play this good.
Hi, I never heard this piece before and I liked it. Please play Moment musicaux no.4 by Schubert
Everyone talks about how insanely difficult this piece is, which it is, but no one ever talks about how beautiful it is, as well. That middle section is absolutely gorgeous.
There is also a story about how Liszt once heard Rubinstein play this composition. Shortly afterwards, Liszt himself sat down at the piano and on the first listen played this composition, according to Anton Rubinstein who was present and a shocked Balakirev, Liszt played it correctly. This is one of the reasons why Liszt is considered by many to be the greatest pianist of all time. And it's no wonder, because according to research, Liszt's hands were built in such a way that he had to have perfect dynamics. Besides, it was said about Liszt that he NEVER made mistakes while playing.
This is historical hogwash
Rubinstein was born 8 years before liszt death. So I don’t think that he was present

@@pianistmatous4503 oh wait looks like i still was drunk in the Morning because my instincts read Arthur Rubinstein

This man just casually dropped one of the hardest piano pieces ever
it did take him a month. thats the longest he has ever prepared for a piece!
Its cool to see how this piece in particular, looks in this format. Congrats in tackling such a monumentally difficult piece.
Thanks Erik :)

That is super insane and amazing! This is defeinitely a Halloween special for how much of a nightmare it looks to play!
Thank you my friend!
It is such a nightmare that you made a typo lol
Esa es la velocidad.....!!!
Grande....!!!!!
This is amazing, we missed you too! Another extremely difficult piece just casually uploaded. Sharing your talent for everyone to see, you are a legendary pianist!
P.S. I have just finished the video and I am speechless. Not only did you play an astonishing composition, you also managed to add your own interpretations! Definitely one of, if not, my favorite performance of this fantasy!
bro that aint talent. This is at max 5% talent and the rest is just hard work.
Traum needs more love. Bros out here playing the hardest piano piece and only getting 44k for it🙁
63k views, hoping for more
Hello, I am 15 years old.
You are my inspiration in piano music.
I want to hear you perform Sergei Rachmaninov - Elegy (Op. 3, No. 1).
Thank you! I will practice :)
@@TraumPiano Another request if you don't mind: Rachmaninoff Corelli Variations. I read somewhere that it is based on a Portuguese folk dance, and that dance also happens to be the basis of Liszt's Spanish Rhapsody! Good luck practicing! :P
@@ConcordMass they both have themes based on la folia. pretty sure la folia isn't portuguese though
@@-.a hm i read that it was a Portuguese folk dance...
@@ConcordMass then it probably is portugese
my allround favourite classic piece ever composed, and finally, found the person, who just right in tempo, not too rush, not too heavy, well played Maestro! Stunning😌
And there it is! Always saw the sheet music version on RUclips, but to see a pianist's hands for the whole piece shows how technically demanding this piece really is. Amazing job!
The time we've waited was definitely worth it! Thx for this another gorgeous performance☺️
I’ve been following you for a while traum and you’re videos never cease to captivate and move me. You’re a blessing and an utter pleasure to listen to, thank you for being an inspiration to me 🙂
This is what I call a MAESTRO! Traum absolutely polished it and played every single note thoughtfully and masterfully! It felt like a whole movie! Traum played it in such an adventurous vibe! It was incredible! He captured the emotions in the best possible way by the colours that he used! To be honest I’ve never missed anybody on RUclips as much as I’ve missed Traum! A day doesn’t pass for me without repeating his videos and I’ve learned many great pieces thanks to him and my whole piano playing is influenced by him! Thank you for the ride of emotions!
I've been waiting for this one. Bravo. This piece always transports me to a place and a time I cannot describe. There are melodies locked away in this monster that are just too beautiful
Glad you are back! Incredible performance as always. You are unreal! ❤
Oh my god! I was hoping you would upload again! And you did not disappoint! Awesome performance of this legendary piece!
Oh my, you have to be one of the most talented pianists on this platform.. Incredible performance trauma well done
INCREDIBLE STUFF! The wait was well worth it
I haven’t heard a single recording until now that brought out so many of the inner melodies, wonderful job! Your performance gave me an entirely new perspective on this piece, it felt like listening to it for the first time :D
One of the most difficult pieces of virtuosic piano repertoire flowing so gracefully and beautifully with such ease: Bravissimo!
TRAUM IVE BEEN CHECKING ALMOST EVERY DAY FOR YOUR RETURN OH HOW WEVE MISSED YOU AND HOW WORTH IT IT WAS! PLEASE NEVER LEAVE US AGAIN
I just discovered Islamey and it’s beauty. Before this, I haven’t seen any vids with synthesia on YT and have always wondered how hard it really was… Amazing job >:))
I love this piece!! your second theme is so wonderful and romantic. Amazing playing as well and thanks for sharing it! ❤❤️
Yes I'm so glad its out! Amazing playing as always!
After seeing the sample from 3 months ago. I’ve been anticipating this for a while and wow that was really well done. Good job Traum!
Good to see you active once again Traum! And what a way to make a comeback!!! Wonderful work!! 👏👏
WOW, it was worth waiting so long. You are the best pianist on RUclips, great interpretation
I've never heard this piece but I'm so glad you posted this! Thank you for sharing your interpretations!
FANTASTIC JOB PERFORMING ISLAMEY!! this is an absolute banger since its start😭
Finaaaally someone did this piece in this format, thank you so much!
The whiskey is a celebratory drink because he mastered this very difficult piece. Good job Traum. It sounds amazing!
Wow I remember when you did the 1 day practice. And now you finally posted the whole piece. What’s amazing is that I was thinking about this today…
Wow! This song is both melancholic and happy at the same time! Great performance
Beautiful interpretation,Traum Piano! It's for the first time when i hear this piece, and It's lovely! Btw,Welcome back! We missed You too🥰
Amazing! Your recordings have been an immense inspiration to me, without all the motivation your interpretations have given me in the last year I wouldn't be practicing Chopin ballade 1 and military polonaise now🤣
Thank you so much, your playing motivates me to practice 3-6 hours and inspired me to study the piano at university starting next year
So none ones gonna talk about the 3 MONTHS time gap? That's insane beyond belief.
Another thing to mention that I believe had gone uncaught by many- he had accomplished lots of the piece on Day 1; nearly half the piece was in his fingers and he looked so comfortable playing it. Although at that rate he seemed very close to performing it already, bare in mind the 3 MONTHS he had spent working on it after that. That really goes to show how much musicians analyze scores and trace every single detail to execute at their finest, before they feel ready for a complete performance. The finest of details count as they all contribute to the work and performance in their entirety.
@Davis Robinson
Indeed Traum will never just upload unless he himself is satisfied with his interpretation and quality of the video. At the same time, Traum is a Concert Pianist, The performance season started like last year when he was absent for 3 months. I am just happy that he still finds time to upload for his subscribers. There are 260 videos plus Traumian and the Radio Channel to tie me over until I see a new upload again.😁
@@Traumfanblueheron honestly I couldn't believe it myself when I saw the notification for this. I admire Horowitz, Cziffra, and many other greats from the past and Traum has some of the best interpretation of works that I've ever heard. This is Traum we're talking about here. For him to execute a performance of anything of this caliber, maintaining his unmatched technique and expression, is unbelievable. And this might be the best performance of this piece I've ever heard.
@@davisatdavis1
I am a huge Traum fan and know that he is an exceptional Pianist but I was still blown away by this performance. His interpretations always speak to me. We are very fortunate to have him generously sharing his artistry.
Now, I have to encourage him to play some more Schubert's!

Truly incredible performance, we missed you!
One of those experiences where you take a glance at the rest of the people in the audience and they all seem to be just as awe-struck and wildly impressed as you are at the masterfully honed piece you've just witnessed. Performed in an excellent manner!
Thanks for sharing! The best interpretation I’ve ever heard!

There’s a lovely lyrical quality to this piece that you bring out amidst all the technical fireworks.
Very well played sir, and cheers 🥃! Gonna watch it again!

I’ve been looking forward to this for so long I got so excited whenever I seen that you uploaded this finally. Is it me or are those letters at 4:38? (KDO)
I have never seen someone play this colossal piece up close, love this! In your opinion, which one would be more technically demanding; Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit or Balakirev's Islamey? I read somewhere that Ravel's objective when composing Gaspard de la Nuit was to surpass the difficulty of Balakirev's Islamey in every aspect.
They are very different in style. Also, if you consider Gaspard de la Nuit as a whole, then it’s much harder than Islamey
Balakirev was well ahead of time
Balakirev gave us a secret code for the future
I thought the guy's name was balkariev

Thanks you for being my inspiration...
Love the new thumbnail and the new bold title, this beautiful performance definitely deserves many more views. Thank you, Maestro.
Honestly previous one was looking elegant but this one really looking like usual
@@xevivr
The thumbnail was replaced because the title was changed to just Balakirev Islamey, by removing the Ballantine 30 years reference. The original thumbnail is elegant but this beautiful performance is easier recognized and recommended by YT algorithm with a simple title, Balakirev's Islamey. This upload should have blown up just as the 1838 La Campanella.
@@Traumfanblueheron ya it's really tough piece tho but I don't think it will get reach as in la campanella ( Rousseau popularise this piece) bcz people really dont know or majority of them from non classical side
@@xevivr
Did Rousseau play the 1838 version?
It's true, most likely only Classical Piano/ Music lovers knew about Islamey and the technical difficulty. It really deserves much more views, especially since this is the first in this format. No doubt, Maestro Traum is an exceptional Pianist.
@@Traumfanblueheron no he didn't play ,but many people afterwards just curious to know how the original version sounds that's why it just blown up ! When he uploaded
