He stayed behind in Iran and married another woman. He didn't believe in his wife's newfound Christianity. I recently read the book "The Ungrateful Refugee" by Daniel's sister, Dina Nayeri.
I love the relationship this adult man has with his mom. She saved their lives in more ways than one.

Wonderful story of a life that has found what is worth giving up everything and pursuing it. Oftentimes whimsical as much as heartbreaking.
This book came to our library and i am just now reading it - I'm glad it found its way here - definitely one i will share and recommend
