    Something super important that I should have added is that room size and speaker placement play a huge part. While I still feel a 4" speaker is too small for production there are scenarios where they would work pretty ok.

    Regardless of what the website says, I find it completely ridiculous to make a review without actually testing the speakers…

    I have the dm50 they are sealed each speaker has own amplifier 2 tone controls each have 4 positions hi and low filtering. it frustrates me when people say their monitors bookshelf or tower speakers have no bass 2.1 systems sound amazing with a good two way speaker. this isnt a new concept even massive 1960s altech and lancing's big cabinets with 15 in speaker and horn tweeters baffled into big in face horns came with or optional stand alone subwoofers because they refused to compromise sound quality. so if anyone mentions bass in a monitor bookshelf or tower speaker they instantly loose creditability with me because you cant expect something to be what it isnt . if you want bass added to those cabinets and still have them sound the same in the mid and high the cabinets would need to double in size because your argument that there is no way these five inch woofers can reproduce that low frequency. you are correct. there are some 5inch subs that can they are about a foot deep and have 10 lb magnets but speakers that are going to get down to 20hz and move enough cfm of air are not going to reproduce that mid level accurately so. what do want two 8 inch subs added more amps crossovers probably sound amazing but be as expensive and heavey as some entry level pa speakers may as well get some jbls or yamahas at that point. to be fair there are mointors that are deeper but at 200 dollar price point these speakers sound amazing . they are pleasant and smooth tweeters sound really good i cant stand most of them

    Thanks for the vid! Is there any difference in sound quality between the Bluetooth and non Bluetooth version when using them wired ?

    Why do you say the 50D would be "clearer" than the 40D? I can understand louder and having better bass response...but would the larger speakers definitely be clearer?

      Bigger speaker will have a much easier time separating and accurately representing different frequencies across the spectrum. Being able to handle more low end will mean it won't muddy up the mids and highs.

      Depends how they are setup. Typical each speaker is mono and then combined to make a stereo system

    Do you think can good this speaker for houseparty like 25-85 people?

    • @BeersAndBeatsPDX
      @BeersAndBeatsPDX  Год назад

      it'll work if you have no other option but shouldn't be your first choice. These are best used for very close monitoring within a few feet. If you're trying to play for 85 people they will get drown out very quickly.

      @@BeersAndBeatsPDX im consider dm 50d , krk rokit 5 and adam audio 5” which one more suitable ? Or must use 7” speaker?

    • @BeersAndBeatsPDX
      @BeersAndBeatsPDX  Год назад

      @@zios1525 depends on what you're use is. If it's for production monitoring then you're going to what the biggest monitors you can afford. I have rokit 6's and that's about where I would draw the line. Smaller speakers just don't have the ability to cleanly reproduce sub frequencies.
