Apprentice illusion magician ? You can go into Norito (with DMG), rank up to Ebon and then get in Into Zeus with 4 materials attached.
Me: Summons Dark magician card. End turn
Opponent: Summons skull servant.

Most people use Apprentice Illusion Magician, but I appreciate your originality with sticking with Dark Magician Girl
saw this and wanted to get back into yugioh by upgrading my old dark magician deck, but the staples alone already cost over half a GRAND, and i see ppl writing on the internet that its not even that good of a deck.... konami manages to crush dreams even today
Try not to follow this to the letter. U do kinda brick pretty hard. I've done a lot of test hands and u don't get the exact cards u need like the "combo" he is showing in here.
Summon dragoons set 4. Oh yeah clever, get dragoon out and have nothing to discard for his negate. Big brain plays.

Problem with Timaeus is that he's only live turn 1 if you also drew Souls.

Wtf, if you go 2nd and draw it, how is it not live? What about turn 3 or 4 and you top deck it? It becomes live the moment you can get Dark Magician on the field, which is incredibly easy; the only problem is drawing it...which is why you run 3x and draw cards/thinners. People can out 1 Dragun somewhat easily, 2x they'd need Super Poly or something nutty. Timaeus helps obtain a 2nd Dragun tremendously.
Yes, in addition to Magician's Souls, you have Fusion Deployment, but almost as important you have this card called Keeper of Dragonic Magic. Keeper can search ANY "Fusion" card, including Fusion Deployment, plus it's a Dragon, and it can fetch Dark Magician from the GY face-down for free, which also still works with Eye of Timaeus. I like to search Ultra Polymerization, then fetch DM from the GY, then activate Ultra Polymerization, bring out a Dragun, then return both materials via Ultra Polymerization, then if you have another Ultra Polymerization you can bring out a 2nd Dragun, return the materials again, and then play Timaeus for a 3rd Dragun (lol it's entirely possible). The only problem with Keeper is he is a Normal summon (conflicts with Rod), and he locks you into Fusion summoning, otherwise I'd just say turn the 2 materials into Verte Anaconda.
Keeper can only search Normal Spell "Fusion/Polymerization" cards so no Super Poly, but definitely Instant Fusion and Shaddoll Fusion.
Also Fusion Deployment also locks you into Fusion Summons. Also you can send Magi Magi to the GY via Souls, SS DMG via Fusion Deployment, and then place Mahad on the top of deck via Servant. Once you get DM in the GY (Verte Anaconda or discarding via Apprentice Illusion Magician/Keeper) you'll soon be drawing 4 cards for each copy of Servant!

Nice! I like REF over trying to turbo out anaconda it’s way less fragile, although the combo w/ rod and souls should be send DMG with souls, then add soul servant with rod, make anaconda to active REF, and now you’ve got 2 names in your GY so you activate servant to stack the eternal soul and then draw 2, giving you an extra trap or dragoon fodder
The Eye of Timaeus needs a modern upgrade and should be searchable, there is no reason it shouldn't
Considering you need bricks like DM and DMG on the field to resolve Timaeus, while 2 generic effect monsters can lead to Anaconda and Dragoon almost every time, and also the Timaeus fusions besides Dragoon are almost trash (maybe I save Dragon Knight and Dark Paladin), I think that would be a good idea
When you summon the "Mago Negro" you must say: "Fala Galera"

Just pulled one in a maximum gold box. So nostalgic. The weirdest thing about it is I haven’t bought Yugioh cards in over a decade and the only reason I bought some is because I remembered my blue eyes and how much I treasured it but how I always wanted a Dark Magician.

Just wanted to leave you a like/comment because I’ve been out of yugioh since 2004/5 and I recently found all my cards and wanted to get back into it.
Just from watching your videos I’ve learnt a lot and I have built your precious deck and now this one and I am having a lot of fun, I will make a few changes as I notice things but you’ve hit the nail on the head with this one!

This is definitely a Dark Magician deck, and Dragoon is also more of a Dark Magician card instead of a Red-Eyes card. You can run any Dragon in a Dark Magician deck and easily summon this, but you'd HAVE to run Dark Magician in a Red-Eyes deck, rather than any Spellcaster (or possibly Fusion substitutes like Muddy Muddragon or Dark Hex Sealed Fusion to substitute DM, which isn't consistent whatsoever.)
So, a Red-Eyes Deck featuring multiple ways to summon Dragoon (rather than only Red-Eyes Fusion/Anaconda) would be VERY impressive imo.

If you run the windwitch engine, summon crystal wing first turn, then follow up with dragoon, he's even more devastating. After the use their resources to play around your traps and crystal wing, then you hit them with dragoon and it's over.

You’ll get more education from videos from those with less subscribers that do better deck profiles and actually put in the exhausting experience of tournaments. Those are the real chads right there

Forget the 2 card 1 card combo. Do a TEST HAND!!!! It's not a guarantee you will get those 2 specifically. It's better to just do a test hand to show what card you may or may not get in hand and then show the combo. That way people can learn better. Like the previous comment said are you trying not to show a test hand cuz u brick hard if you do? If not change to test hand. So much better and informative

Idk Sam the deck seems ok but I would suggest being able to get dragoon out in one go by using Jester Confit and AIM, one being a free no cost special summon and the other able to ditch a card (like Servant) to get DM in the hand off the get go. That's just what I would do. As always love your vids and theyve given me a lot of insight into making my own decks.

My friend plays DMs with Diabolos lord of the lair, DNA transplant, calls spellcaster so he tributes my monster under lair of darkness. Doesn't target, free special summon, so good. It's a dragon for red eyes fusion too.
That honestly doesn't seem that good. Playing lair of darkness, dna transplant, and having to have magician's rod in the GY to do that one combo seems like a lot of set up. Also, Diablos doesn't work with red eyes fusion. Its been ruled that red eyes fusion only works with red eyes monsters. You have to use at least one red eyes monster.

I Like your DM deck profile. I've always been a fan of DM. I wish Konami would make DM meta. I was even thinking about a card that they can make. It's a field spell with the following effect.
The summon, activation and effects of cards that you control that specifically list "dark magician" or "dark magician girl" cannot be negated.
Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field, including "Dark Magician" or "Dark Magician Girl", as Fusion Material. ( I was even thinking about being able to use cards from the graveyard and banished pile. Cards in the GY would get banished, cards banished would into the GY for more recoverablility.)
Lastly, If you control a Dark Magician, this card is unaffected by your opponents card effects.
I'm pretty sure Konami would never make a card like this, but it's just a thought. Even if they have to ban it after a few formats. I just want to see DM compete.

What about the Plaguespreader/Selene engine with Effect Veiler? Given you have enough Spells, it’s an easy way to get to your Accesscode. Also to your Dark Magician if you have to.
Can someone explain why Crackdown and Ice Dragon’s Prison are in here? Are they staples? Also, why are there only two copies of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon instead of three?

Man... I've been out of the game for soo long, but your videos have gotten me back in. Good to see there's a good meta for the original Protagonist Card. Though I have to ask, as a fan of a fatter deck, any way to fit the "Dark Magician Dragon Knights" cards into a 50 card deck?
Dragon Knights is more or less outclassed by Dragoon. You can summon both from a DM plus any Dragon, so with Keeper and Ultra Polymerization, or any Fusion spell, plus both are summonable through Timaeus.
Dragon Knight basically becomes immune to card effects with Eternal Soul, which it protects from Targeting/destruction, but Dragoons has that built in and won't get destroyed by Souls if it leaves (by non-targeting effects, etc). Dragoon can become stronger than 3K, also can pop and burn usually twice.
So imo there's no advantage to using Knights, especially when Extra Deck space is tight...other than it being treated as DM in GY (revival), but your opponent probably wouldn't let you have a Eternal Souls if they can break your board anyways.
This is a 40 card build so if you really want to make it into a 50 card deck just add in some more dragon monsters like Keeper of Dragon Magic, and then maybe some other fusion cards or other DM support spells/traps. Then just switch in Dragon Knight with something in the extra deck that was in this video you don't care for

So theres a way you CAN sort of swap it out youll lose a lot of consistency BUT youll save like $300. You can run foolish burial and foolish burial goods. Or you can run foolish and 2x allure of darkness. Id go for the foolish allure personally. Dumping dmg is so good.
Or you can just run Fusion Deployment

So for 16 cards the extra deck do I cut Witch or Spider? Those are the real choices. But I am leaning more towards Spider as he isn't really needed because your only normal monsters are DM and Red-Eyes. So definitely cut Spider as it's the most useless card of the deck.
