He mentioned that he added the smoking in the mv as a way to normalize viewing idols as humans. That it shouldnt be some huge scandal to see an idol doing normal things
Homonym lyrics "This song is a haegeum" = the string instrument used 해금(奚琴) "a new kind of haegeum" = unlocking the forbidden 해금(解禁) And a beat made with haegeum. This fu***** guy is clearly a genius.
In the premiere for Haegeum Suga did an intro saying we should watch - in one sitting - Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala (the MV will drop in 2 days). So not only is there a trilogy of Agust D albums there’s a 3 part short film series too! Borahae💜
What i love abt you Brooke..when u do reactions and u read the lyrics u really have in depth analysis or point of view abt it, not just others goes like " i like it, " i love it" ,yeah it's a bop". 🙄
7:07. The person who you referred to as a Mafia boss is actually a policeman (well, also considering how he has money by illegal means as well he is corrupted). Also, apparently, people have been saying that they both have a scar on their faces, both the corrupted police officer Yoongi and gang leader Yoongi (referenced from Daechwita, also lm looking for the gang leader's scar ),but lm still looking 🥲
Everyone has a struggle and all count no matter if the same struggle is shared. Saying that the freedom vs. Self indulgence was felt in Starbucks everyday. Reminds me of being w/ my friends in high school. It was private and I wondered if the check would bounce everyday , their empathy was imagining their Amex gold card being taken away. I got it b/c they never carried cash. If stranded they couldn't even make a phone call, buy food, know how to change a tire themselves. While not my struggle, I could understand the light bulb of realization and self-examination. While they never knew the truth of the "is the tuition check going to bounce", they knew if I had cash it was the only cash I had.
MV's cigarettes are a taboo symbol. In the Kpop idol industry, exposure of smoking scenes is taboo because cigarettes are harmful to teenagers. Taboos put limits on creativity. Chopsticks seem to be a metaphor for language It can be used as a tool to kill people, or it can be used as a survival tool to eat food. Some people die from bad comments and verbal abuse, while others live from good comments and comforting words.
Hubby say... Think original Hong Kong OG version of Departed, the movie. For the mob-boss like Yoongi to be walking out of the police station? Some parallels, too, I suppose, along with other references also. So many possibilities.

Missed opportunity if Yoongi doesn't include in his D-Day merch a set of quality red chopsticks. Dishwasher safe, plz!
