Wait until you see them LIVE in concert. I'm a Director of Talent in LA & NY and I've had the pleasure of seeing & booking many top tier groups & singers. Name them, I've seen them. The biggest & the best and nothing has come close to a BTS concert. It's the hottest, sexiest, exciting vibe you will ever feel at a concert. Over 2-1/2 hours. BTS' endurance is amazing. They don't put on a show. They put on a spectacular.

From what BTS have said, RM usually writes their lyrics, Jin said that on You Quiz On The Block, and RM has mentioned on V Live that he's written like 80% of their lyrics! The way I understand it is that Suga and J-Hope write their own lines, and RM writes everything else, they work with topliners and producers for melodies and beats, but the lyrics are pretty much all written by the rapline:)
Not true. Vocal line has credits in over 40 songs.
The other members write too and they also work with a lot of writers too.
right RM has bigger part and credited in every single bts song except dynamite and ptd . also other members have written and are writting songs too. suga has more part in producing and rapline three of them has bigger role in composing and producing . vocal line is also taking parts and have been credited for so many songs
Yes, RM has over 180 writing credits. He writes most of the lyrics and the rapline writes their own verses so they get credited as well, but most of their dischoreography was written by RM. Of course Suga has also made songs as well as jhope. Then once the pdogg and others figure out the production/composition, they have Jk sing most of the vocal guides. Then everyone sings their parts. And jk goes back in to add harmonies, adlibs, doubling and mixing the vocals. Jhope also does some background adlibs often. Obviously there are some differences depending on the song's needs but that's the overall process
@@bee12117 I know they have credits, but when talking strictly about lyrics only, we don't know exactly what they wrote, or if they even wrote lyrics and not melodies for a song they were credited on. I was talking about their standard process, and with the rapline we at least know approximately who wrote which lyrics:)

Hey, Brooke, could you tell Megan the rappers write all their own rap lyrics, and the other members have their own solo songs and contribute here and there to BTS’ melodic lyrics. Also RM writes lyrics on pretty much every song. Spring Day is a great example with a story of how he wrote them. She might have come away not understanding how much BTS actually contribute to writing their lyrics, which was so unique to Kpop when they deputed. It’s a big part of their story. Holy moly, this brings me back! I listened exclusively to KROQ when I was in high school in Huntington Beach, CA in the 80s, back when it was 'The ROQ of the 80s'! Rodney on the ROQ was the show I was devoted to, playing the best B-sides and imports from Duran Duran and The Cure, etc.

There's really nothing like seeing BTS live. I've seen them twice now and their shows are absolute festivals of color, activity and adrenaline and the love they get back from ARMY at their shows is an event in-and-of-itself.

Love reading the comments bec I learned so much. Started listening to them during the pandemic. My health took a downturn so for some reason listening to their songs n watching their stories, struggles, sacrifices, courage, brotherhood, devotion for army was inspiring. I’m proud of their solo achievements esp Jk. I hope they stay safe while they’re serving n not b bullied or harassed. I am trying to get friends into BTS and the biggest question is which songs to start them with so fun to see you introduce people to it. This was a great variety of songs so fun to watch.
I always pick different songs depending on what I think that person would resonate with most! It honestly takes a few days to come up with which songs would work best for which friends. But I’m so glad that you enjoyed watching this! Good luck showing your friends some BTS! 💜✨

Fun fact about the MMA Dionysus performance.. when they said BTS shook the stage they literally did SHOOK THE STAGE if you look up that specific performance where the rest of the idols were sitting (near stage) even their sits were shaking idols like black pink ,exo, stray kids were literally holding on to their seats cause even were they were at was shaking... that's how powerful that performance was/is

Grew up in Long Beach late 80s-90s & KROQ brings me back to my childhood!
Really enjoyed this first time reaction and what a good choice of songs. Jungkook is the centre so he carries the performance and provides a lot of the adlibs. But they all have about the same amount of time singing and rapping. Yes, the wonderful, J-Hope, is a rapper but he’s also a sub vocalist while JK can also rap. You didn’t give our Worldwide Handsome, Jin, much of a mention. He’s the one used to soften things down with his smooth vocals. He just turned 29 BTW. The camera work for Dionysus wasn’t the best so we didn’t see enough of Jimin but at least you could see his brilliant dance moves in Black Swan. You spotted the beautiful, V and our savage cutie, SUGA. I love RM in Dionysus. He’s actually playing the part of the god.

I think that’s correct although some say SUGA is Hades and Jin is Aphrodite. You can watch an explanation by Bookish Theories but she actually only mentions RM being Dionysus. As far as I know there is no mv of this song but they have performed it a lot and in slightly different ways each time.

It is amazing the level of clean synchrony they have, especially with 7 members, but I think it's more than just "being practiced," I think it's that they are so egoless and support each other so much, have been through so much together to where they are each other's family (how many years did they live together and at times all 7 in a small room with bunkbeds??!?), and how the synergy of their unique personalities is so perfect. there's that mind-blowing video when they're correctly identifying each other by smell (i can't remember the game they were participating in exactly, don't worry it wasn't creepy lol)

First of all...I grew up in L.A. and KROQ even in the 70's and 80's was the shit!!! And I love that the afternoon D.J. is a woman!! Hell Yeah!
As for the three preformances you just watched..first one, "Black Swan," was actually filmed in L.A. at the L.A. theater. They also filmed another video called "ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film" in the L.A. wash at the Sepulveda Bridge, along with the actual video for the song about 70 miles north of L.A. Let's just say they were pretty busy around this time.
The second video "Mic Drop" along with their other song from the same album, "DNA," are the songs and videos that actually started getting attention here in the states. They preformed "DNA" for the first time on the Billboard Awards. Then the preformed "MIC DROP," on the late night shows. And they have just grown from there.
The last preformance was actually a total of I believe something like 40 minutes long, they preformed a total of 5 songs, intros for each member, and this amazing ending. No one in the west does preformances like this. Not even at the height of the boy band era here. I'm not saying that the groups weren't talented. However, with the exception of maybe New Edition, no boy band ever did the type of preformance that any k pop group does. You have only seen BTS, but majority of the groups, both guy and girl groups are entertainers. Rapping, singing and definitely dancing are part of who they are. BTS is known for what they can do on stage. But also lyricists, composers, producers, film makers, directors....they do a lot...a lot more than any group from the west. Imagine if any award show giving BTS 30 minutes to do whatever they wanted on one of our award shows. They would blow the audiences here in West away. I'm not talking about ARMY, I'm talking about the other artists and industry people...they would be floored if they did something like "Dionysus" on an American stage.
Please Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that American artists aren't good. What 8m saying is that I just don't see any of them doing what BTS or any k pop artists do on stage. And here's the kicker to all of this, 99.9 % of all k pop group sing live while they are doing choero. So yes what you heard was them singing live...

They’re all main guys but Jungkook does carry a lot of talent, he’s the main vocalist (does the vocal lead of the songs first before the members hear them and record, harmonizing and adlibs are also on him- if someone is missing he fills in no matter who), lead and center dancer, sub rapper (full rapper in the past) and the golden maknae.
Regarding mic drop the song was barely changed, Steve did some reverb and meshing sounds together and they rewrote the chorus to English but it’s pretty much the same

Ps:Black Swan is my favorite song. When I had to end my 25-year career as a contemporary dancer, I felt the same way, and this song comforted me.
