Everyone thinks their driving abilities are way above everyone else on the road. Even keeping within the legal limits and driving in a safe manner, things can go wrong… assuming mindset is some sort of force field is just arrogance…. It’s good to see Ricky has started the shift that comes with age and a family.
The truth is if you put your foot fully flat in a car with 300bhp+ and you increase the risk massively, doesn’t matter if its a straight road no where near KFC, tyre or drive shaft goes, other mechanical failure or out side influence from other vehicles, people or animals plus road conditions like pot holes, oil or fuel on the road etc and it can be life changing… just acknowledging this is a start.
