    I live outside Oakland, CA and I see what life is like on the decaying crime-ridden mega-violent streets of Oakland and I see this and I think that this can't be the same planet. May God bless the Wiwa and keep them innocent, even if they enjoy a little bump from time to time.

    God, protect them. They are the earth's guardians, and one day, this society will have to look at them and learn from them, to save our world. We should do that now... but we still think we are the smart ones...

    That's a very good, dramatic story told in under three minutes, well done. And such beautiful people living such beautiful lives in such a stunning, magical place. I think the 'civilized' world is many years away from still trying to convince ourselves how much better off we are with cars, jobs, houses, wives, debts, etc. etc.

    "The Indians of the Bogota highlands in the eastern Cordilleras of Colombia relate some of their tribal reminiscences to the time before there was a moon. “In the earliest times, when the moon was not yet in the heavens,” say the tribesmen of Chibchas." Anyone know where I can find more information on these tales of mankind predating the moon? Greeks and Romans also wrote of indigenous people's of Europe claiming to be pre-Lunar folk.

    THe process of assimilation (MESTIZAJE) forces native people to Hispanicize in Latin America. This process is cruel, destructive, and more often, irreversible.

      @@diegoarroyo1641 the history of Latin America does not indicate Hispanics are tolerant and accepting. Example, in Argentina, there has been nearly total genocide of Natives. In Bolivia, Mestizos and Natives clash in race wars. Guatemala, white/Mestizos have committed genocide on the Mayas. Mexico, Mestizos invent their "Aztecs" while casting natives into deplorable and abusive conditions (Mayas of the Zapatista).

      @@mixtecjaguar9824 I have heard of no significant clashes in Colombia, Venezuela or Ecuador, all of which have a large Mestizo population. In Paraguay most people are bilingual in Spanish and Guaraní, which by itself shows great assimilation without destroying parts of the heritage. Some regions do have conflicts but it is not necessarily the rule.

      @@diegoarroyo1641 Venezuela's native population is less than 2%of the total population; while in Ecuador, new laws have been implemented to end "ethnocide" - the killing of native people's culture - in other words, making Natives into Hispanics.

      Hey I’m mix with Spain & indigenous. My dad & mom are both Colombia’s my dad from Bogotá with more percent of Spain blood. My mom is from Cali with more percent indigenous (which she is an indigenous.) Colombia is very mixed. Yes there is African decent in Colombia so we have also African indigenous cultures with many others.
      Let me educate you a bit tho;
      *natives from Colombia were born & raised in Colombia. Mostly in the center or in the mountains. But also in the coast Amazon jungles.
      *spain brought African slaves to Colombia to make a land for themselves. (Africans born in Africa but later on raised & had babies mixed with Spain or indigenous peoples when they escaped.) this is mostly in the coast because the Spain was just starting to descover the coast.
      *& then Spain found indigenous people & mixed with them but also slaves them.
      This is just in example of some cultures in Colombia since you mentioned black people or “dark skin tone people”. But we are mixed with many other cultures, we are very diverse ☺️ but still hold our cultures close.
      Even those that don’t seem like it & are living modern lives (most of our cultures find it offensive to change our ways tho some are more acceptable) i still have a garden & my mom takes very good care of it & we still do some rules like the moon rules & weathers & respect all live forms & my family is Christians & catholic from the family I met those in the mountains I haven’t met cuz it’s dangerous in Cali so I can’t speak for them but my grandma knows so I might ask if you’re interested or if you have any questions.

      ALSO lol um
      * Wiwa’s aren’t Asians..
      fun fact we do have asains tho lol we’re really mixed.
      *HISTORY FACT: Asians came to make a railroad to pass by Panama & other countries but Wiwas aren’t fully Asians.

      @Atlanteantrey Indian
      I'm sympathetic to African causes. I believe the world owes a lot to Africa and we should learn more about African culture and heritage. However, I hope you realize your Afrocentrism is not just a debunked and discredited, absolutely *pathetic* attempt at gaining notoriety, but it's also a major *insult* to the peoples who's culture you're trying to usurp. This is not the way to elevate African culture and heritage, in fact, it has the exact opposite effect: No one takes you seriously. All the best to you.
