I absolutely have fallen in love with this piece. The ending especially gives me chills. I have been trying to learn this piece for a while and am close to finishing it. Amazing and I love the analysis.
3 things I learned recently - 1: I come from the Chopin line (not only the Beethoven and Tchaikovsky one) - 2: Sforzando means to die away - 3: you are the only honest pianist on YT because you admit that you weren't sight reading but that you had just been practising that part that you played at the beginning. And what are the three things that you have learned about me from both my comments and my YT channel, please? Thanks!
You've changed my mind--this nocturne is now my favorite, too. I loved the usual choices of Chopin nocturnes--C# minor, B flat minor, but your video and love for the exquisite beauty of this piece converted me! I do LOVE the Rachmaninov Elegy and Prelude in D and of course the Scriabin Prelude Op 8 No. 12 in D# minor. But this is now my favorite Chopin Nocturne, thanks to you. Your comments and tips were practical and inspiring. Thank you!!
I like his later Nocturnes. As of now, Op. 62, No. 2 is my favorite. Thank you for this discussion, as Chopin's music has helped me a lot and he is one of my favorite composers. 🎹
I think he has an AC on in the background, which is drowning out some sound. It is St. Pete, so it is quite hot there this time of year in early September ☀️
At 5:03 I have to stop listening to you. With your permission I'll go listening to the tune first. I'll come back later(between you and me: JUST CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DIDN'T START WITH INTRODUCING THE PIECE FIRST!!!)
Thank you Cory. I have never mastered the nocturnes. You have inspired me to have a go at this one.

i absolutely agree with you. op 62 no 2 is really mature piece.
It's definitely not easy to play. I'm struggling with this one
@@opticalmixing23 yeah it's hard, there is a lot of counterpoint
Can you please post a few more nocturnes by Chopin?
Great dive into the intricacies of Chopin! What is the piece you’re using in the background of the intro? Don’t think I’ve heard it before. Thanks.
It's from Handel's Water Music, the first movement.
0:00 remember me of Hikaru
what's wrong with volume.. its too low

Sorry to disappoint. I will consult you before I make my next video.
Surprising choice, but I also love this piece (especially the ending).
