I think everyone is in agreement here: Moses is in the wrong, Trisha is in the right. She's actually being uncharacteristically calm and mature about the whole thing, but she's being gaslit by him. I know you guys mean well by trying to diffuse the situation, but all you're telling her is that she's never right to feel upset, even when it makes sense for her to be upset. If my partner, at any stage of knowing him, dating or not, exclusive or not, told a stranger what Moses told that catfish about Trisha I would literally never talk to them again. Trisha is attached to this man so she still has little moments, like when he says he wants her to get pregnant, that she softens and wants to make things work - but that's the nature of gaslighting and the push and pull of a toxic relationship. I've followed Trisha long enough to know when she's clear headed and wanting to set a boundary - trisha seriously considering splitting up with someone, saying it in a calm way rather than a meltdown, is very very rare. She gets insanely attached to people. I think while the guys mean well, trying to diffuse the situation and telling her she needs to let things go is just telling her that the part of her that is attached to Moses is right to want to make a terrible relationship work. If Moses really was the calm, understanding person he portrays - the person his sister actually is - he would be a perfect match for Trisha. But the truth is the guy is shady as hell, which I'm sorry to say since he's Hilas brother and I don't want to offend her. But he's seriously bad news. The irony is that ethan used to say trisha would ruin Moses's life but I think this is a two way street, if not just the opposite..

To all the young people out there, if you start dating and that person disparages you early in the relationship (see around 4) and talks behind you back, the proper response is to break up. You don’t buy a 3 million dollar house months later or become engaged. This is called insight into someone’s character and why we date someone, and don’t marry/buy a house within a year.

Exactly! I'm really struggling with the aftermath of this behaviour atm. My bf did something I found suspicious that to this day cannot be proven to be a sign of cheating so I'm legit just trusting his word - we've had to go through a lot to get to a good place - but I went through such a huge period of paranoia where I was stalking his shit. Tbf at the time I was also going through grief in the family so I was kinda nuts but man it really fucked me up, I was getting physically sick from the stress. It's just not worth it, if you catch yourself behaving like that you need to seek help because it's some kind of trauma response and it's going to hurt everyone involved
