    I have a lot of respect for the fighters. They demonstrated good control especially with the head blows. I understand this is not ufc but many good fighters started with point sparring. These tournaments allows the fighters to perfect their striking. Not everyone who trains wishes to get their limbs broken or teeth knocked out in competition.

      Raymond Daniels vs Jack Felton is a more accurate representation of point fighting. This video doesn’t do it justice because they suck lol

    Point fighting today is so unrealistic. Even though I have competed in several tournaments I must say Point fighting is too damn soft. I prefer continuous fighting on the contrary.

      Very very young, I do kyokushin and even tho I’m a beginner and don’t do point style they don’t look like good black belts

  • @theredknight9314

    Even down to presentation, it just isn’t as good as it used to be. Need clean unwrinkled gi, fast sharp technique, clean form, fakes and more punching less terrible kicks.

    The guy on the left (at the start of the fight and he stays over there kind of through out this sparfight, kicked that shorter guy in the head again. Or punched him. I don't think u can make head contact in a spar. But, i think there are different rules for different styles or types of martial arts, right someone?

    • @hotsausekidhotsausekid
      @hotsausekidhotsausekid Год назад

      Head contact is allowed main most competitions,in this skill division(adult black belts)dont have to wear helmets alot of times either.just don't draw blood fr9m a straight into the face technique or you will get disqualified in alot of tournaments

    • @theredknight9314
      @theredknight9314 2 года назад

      It’s the rule, every time there is a hit where you may get a point you stop. The judges call to see who saw the hit. If 2/3 judges agree, you get the point.
