      What makes a person a pathological liar?
      Pathological lying is when a person compulsively lies without a clear motive for doing so. The lies may become elaborate and detailed, but they are often easy to verify. Pathological lies do not lead to any lasting benefit for the person who tells them, and they can be harmful to others.

    Demagoguery is a manipulative approach - often associated with dictators and sleazy politicians - that appeals to the worst nature of people. Demagoguery isn't based on reason, issues, and doing the right thing; it's based on stirring up fear and hatred to control people. For example, a politician who stirs up a fear of immigrants to distract from other issues is using demagoguery.

    • @done.6191
      @done.6191 4 месяца назад

      They aren't; the alleged crime is clear to anyone that has been following the trial. They are trying to make sure that the charges are sufficiently supported by the evidence. It isn't "crazy," and no one time-travelled 9 years back to make Trump do the crimes he appears to have done.
      It's a simple crime:
      1) Trump paid a fee to a news publication to keep various bad press about him in the media out. While shitty, that isn't criminal (but probably should be).
      2) He then falsified business records to misclassify payments made for one purpose, as another purpose. This is a misdemeanor crime, not a felony. It's similar to how if a company used funds to remodel an owner's personal bathroom, then classified them as payments to contractors for another job, in order to avoid paying taxes.
      3) He entered into a conspiracy to do this with other individuals in order to improperly influence an election. This elevates the falsification of records to a felony. The payments made by the National Enquirer also are an illegal campaign contribution (if that is proven to the jury by the evidence) which is a second crime that is covered up by the falsification.
      You can see everything here: ww2.nycourts.gov/people-v-donald-j-trump-criminal-37026 for the actual info, versus the 10 second "I did nothing wrong" crap that DJT says after every day.

    Judge Merchan has given the jury their instructions…the instructions were given verbally and jurors won't receive printed copies. Judge Merchan's standards for a conviction are unheard of and do not require jurors to reach a unanimous decision on the charges! Further, jurors don't have to determine what crime was committed!
    Judge Merchan has ruled that the jury does not have to agree on what that crime is. The jury could split into three groups of four on which of the three crimes were being concealed and Merchan will still treat it as a unanimous verdict," George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley, who has been inside the courtroom, writes. "The jury has been given little substantive information on these crimes, and Merchan has denied a legal expert who could have shown that there was no federal election violation. This case should have been dismissed for lack of evidence or a cognizable crime.

    • @done.6191
      @done.6191 4 месяца назад

      The standards are normal; a person can be found guilty of one crime while not being found guilty of a second charge; this happens all the time and is WHY when building a case you want as many crimes as possible on the list. A person need only be guilty of one of them to face punishment, while not being punished for others in which the burden was not met.
      Regarding Turley I suppose they should have called him as an expert witness? I know Trump doesn't get great lawyers anymore, because he's the epitome of indefensible, but he is a supposed billionaire after all. As for the "legal expert," if that expert had information, I suppose HE should have been part of their legal team. Funny enough, you don't state the name, and the only "expert" I saw was removed in the Engoron trial (he has so many that you have to be specific).
