Anterior cruciate ligament injury in the knee mainly occurs with rotation of the knee during basketball and football. Young active athletes are at greater risk. A meniscus tear complicates the problem. If active sports are to be continued, surgical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament is required. In this video, I explain the issues such as who has anterior cruciate ligament tears, how torn the ligament is, whether the surgery is urgent or not. In the following video, which is a continuation, I will explain if every anterior cruciate ligament tear requires surgery, the technical details during the surgery, the graft differences to be used, and the rehabilitation after the surgery.
