    Yes, here on the mainland (California) humidity is almost nonexistent. I’ve already cracked one expensive ukulele and don’t want to go through that again.great tips

      I'm in florida and humidity in south florida is 79% sometimes it gets close to 100%. The problem here is to dehumidify which can be taken care of with gel packs for instruments. Take care of the expensive ones like if they were babies. I feel the pain of that crack... A good luthier should be able to fix that with no problem.

      @@WhiteDragon689 I'm also in Florida (SE) - I simply don't take my K-2T or other expensive ukes outside - only the cheap laminated ones see the sun and soak in the humidit - that's why I have them. IOW, keep the jewels in the safe!

    Can you use the same cleaner/ polish on a silk finish? I agree that cleaning your instrument and humidifying are essential. Thanks guys. Have a good day.

      Aloha, great question. Yes, the same cleaning materials and methods mentioned apply. This will also be true for natural finishes.
