I haven't been to the American Dream since August and the Dream Wheel wasn't even built at the time. I didn't do Nickelodeon Universe because it was way too expensive and just not worth it. I mainly went for the retail. Overall I was kinda underwhelmed with the place and thought the whole mall lacked character or charm. I recommend visiting the Garden State Plaza 15 minutes up the road in Paramus. Huge mall with a lot of stores and imo the best mall in NJ. Don't go on a Sunday though because Bergen County blue laws shut down non essential retail stores but allow entertainment facilities to remain open.
When I went on this the gondola was rocking like crazy in the wind. Felt pretty unnerving and made me a little queasy getting off. View of the NYC skyline was cool but not nearly as good as say, the view from Top of the Rock.
