    I cannot believe AutoCAD still supports AutoLisp. I am glad, but surprised.

      Yup, it does and it can really make your workflow quite easier.

    Suppose I use AutoCAD Lisp uploaded to another channel to make my RUclips videos, can the Lisp owner give me a copyright strike?
    Please sir

    I have an AutoCAD Professional Certification; at what point will Chat GPT make my certification and expertise obsolete? At what point will a 22-year old with little-to-no AutoCAD experience be able to draft more quickly than I can? I know it's a tough question to answer, but I'll go ahead and ask it.

      The AI will eventually destroy millions of jobs in the next 5 to 10 years for sure. I'm very pessimistic about it because the goverments will act late, too late for many people.
      As a CAD designer myself I'm here in this video because I found myself hating to do a very slow task (repetitive simple assemblies) and I want a hand to do that, but I finally recon if I go to my boss and say, hey!, there's this tool here that can do a 4 weeks job in one day, he will get that and I'll have one day of work vs 4 weeks, so if I'm paid by the hour I'm screwed.

    I followed this video exactly step by step but still my parallelogram isn't a closed shape, its generating four connected lines...

      Try using Polylines (PL) instead of Line (L) ? Or ask ChatGPT to expressly close the shape using Polylines.

    Sir, i have just finished the Autocad course last week ,,,and I have done Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I searched for a job and got a job as a designer in a premium cad company. Which designs solar PV .
    So, is working in a solar company right for my career or not?

    • @sourcecad
      @sourcecad  Год назад +2

      I think it is a good opportunity as the demand is certainly growing. In fact, I get several inquiries related to Solar layout designs so it shows there is demand.

    I work for a large corporation, I’m trying to get authorization to use Chat GPT. We have policies and I’m just trying to get full approval since I’m not on my personal computer.

      If you get the approval though it will certainly help as these three use cases are just examples but there is quite a lot that you can do with it.

      @@sourcecad I have not read the TOS and EULA for chat gpt, but I’m surprised that a header area of lisp didn’t contain ownership or disclaimer verbiage????

      @@rexroscoeroggaschjr7530Recently in one of Open AI events they mentioned that content created with their AI is protected by users copyright and they even went extra mile to say that they will protect users from copyright infringment suits (they were talking about image and other visual content though). So I guess for code same should be true and it should be safe to use it. But of course I am not so sure as these things are not my cup of tea.
