    Awesome tip, thanks! At 1:45 you used a typical "false friend" that happens when translating from German ;). I guess what you really meant was "send the kite down again hard" because "send the kite hardly down again" means to send it down only a tiny bit. Keep up the good work!

    Nice video bro. Can you tell us more about the slack line. How can we doit ?

    Hi Ben, I literally saw tons of tutorial and I've read everything is possible to find on the web about "slack the kite", but this video it's simply the best one ever: you said something that's crucial, something it took me years to figure it out. It's impossible to say how much this tecnique is simple and effective at the same time. BUT, like you mentioned at the beginnig of the video, there's a lot more about kite movement and position (not only the height but also how much the kite is deep in the window, how you can control this position with the board and so the power): this is a topic that's not so clear to me, but I think it would be really interesting, another milestone to freestyle...pls let me know what do you think about it!!!

      Hey Alex,
      thank you for you feedback !
      How does the Edging effects the handlepass ?
      The longer and the more explosive you are able to takeoff - the harder does the kite slack after the takeoff...
      How can you control the slack with the kitemovement ?
      If you pull the kite down just before initiating the handlepass it will slack way harder during the handlepass...
      Is that what you wanted to know ?
      cheers Ben

      @@BenBeholzVlogs What do you mean when you talk about the "longer you are able to takeoff"? I dont' know but If you're talking about the concept to "hold the edge as much as you can when loading before the takeoof" it's something that I heard a lot of times fo sure, but that led me out of the way. By my experience is something that works at the cable, but with a kite the takeoff can't be explosive if you wait too long, I always feel like If I loose the peak of power (that's arrive in a very short period of time, like half a second). But Ben I'm absolutely not at your level, and I'm just asking, cause also timing for a good pop is a topic not so deepen...and I have a lot of confusion in my brain :-)

    • @alexcelli2545
      @alexcelli2545 4 года назад

      Another interesting topic for a tutorial can be kite position more than kite movement (and that's waht I'm asking for). I mean the position of the kite in the wind window that you can change and control by going more or less down wind preparing the jump during the tack or before to unhooking (like some pro riders that I often see going toeside before to unhook and popping).

    Thnx boss, great tips. Currently practicing the back mobe & I have massive difficulty steering the kite when i am engaging edging & pop initiating the rotation. Sometimes the kite flies up or way down. I keep fiddling with my hand position on the bar to control this. Any tips on that would be great. Also arm extension is a question mark, bent a little bit or engage with arms at length so that you have more momentum to pull the bar to your hip? can't really tell by watching your videos. Keep up the great content, awesome stuff!

      Hey,
      thank you ! It is very important to move the kite eveb during the trick. So the position is not to important, important is only to start stearing the kite while passing and rotating.
      Does this help and makes sense to you ?

    • @kromboom71
      @kromboom71 2 года назад

      @@BenBeholzVlogs yes it does make sense, thnx for your reply :)!. Assessing where the kite is because of all the other things to remember is hard! it seems there is somewhat of a 'blind' moment after take off where so much is happening. Will go out and practice active steering, whilst doing the unhooked back to toe roll

      @@kromboom71 Hey, yes in the beginning everything together is a bit much. It will come with time.
      Main rule: The lower the kite is while the pass is happening the easier the pass…

    On Duotone academy videos Aaron seems to send the kite up while going downwind before unhooking and sends it down when edging - you say the opposite. so both is working or am i seeing it wrong?

    • @BenBeholzVlogs
      @BenBeholzVlogs  3 года назад +2

      Hey, I saw Aaron doing it the way you said. It doesen’t matter how you sent it up, for the Slack it‘s only important how much you‘re sending it down. Could I help you with this answer?

      hey, yes exactely... stear the kite up during the edging and pull it hardly down again. This generates more hights and some extra slack...
