When it said about leaving a compliment card in a colleague's desk all I could think was 'and that's how everyone who bought this calendar ended up in a HR meeting.' Another great calendar. I wish I had that much to spend every year. If I did, I'd do the lush one. Those full sized bars were amazing.
As someone who doesn’t really do bath or beauty products, I had to find a reason to watch this. Watching her try to take out the first few boxes was entertaining enough to keep my interest. The Sniff Tests were also quite funny, as usual.

I know this is going to sound really corny and probably stupid to some but the Harry Potter books are the ones that changed my life I was really young obviously when they came out and it offered me an escape from the traumatic things that were happening to me at the time with me and my family it just gave me an escape from the abuse and I'm really grateful I feel as though they've changed my life
I loved my body shop advent calendar, mine was the cheaper option which had mostly small bottles of shampoos, conditioners, body washes and bath bubbles
you and the potter collctor both did bonus ones two great minds think alike but seriously thank you as it nice for us mums to see if its worth it for our children or friends.
This advent calendar is probably my favorite one of all so far!!! Everything looks amazing, and The Body Shop has amazing products too!!! I know others mentioned it already but day 4 is a Konjac sponge, it goes soft with water and then you use it to GENTLY wash your skin with cleanser. It's a very soft and gentle facial scrub. Not for the body and not to be used dry.

when I was a kid an advent calendar was like an A4 sized cardboard sheet, with 25 tiny centimetre-square perforated doors, and you opened the door and there was a picture of a holly leaf or a robin etc. and THAT WAS IT. if you were VERY posh you might get one which had a chocolate every day but that was usually considered excessive
My grandmother used to send us these every year when we were kids. I'm not really feeling too festive this year, she sadly passed a few months ago, but you just sparked a lovely little memory for me. Thank you.

I read that in Iceland on Christmas Eve they get new Pyjamas, bathrobes and slippers and spend the evening reading books. We are going to do this as a family this year

Fav Book - Pellinor Series by Alison Croggon. I can't say it changed my life but it is definitely a series that I go back to time and time again. Life changing was probably HP, I was very ill as a teenager and HP gave me an escape and hope that things would be better one day. 10 years later and I'm doing better than ever with a beautiful little Fawkes tattoo to remind me that greatness comes from ashes.
My all time favourite book recommendation is The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime by Mark Haddon. It is about an autistic boy that finds himself in quite some adventure and it really changed my perspective on kids with autism and it shows they can do a lot more than we think 😊

Lol that “pumice stone” is a konjac sponge it turns really soft and a little slimy when it gets wet I love how SOFT my skin gets after using it (just water and scrub all over no product is needed) 😊😘

What a lovely calendar! It has been so fun to watch you open all eight but I think this one was the greatest. (Hard to admit because of Harry Potter) I have got an advent calendar with pens this year that I look forward to. I also got a “kindness calendar” where money from each sold were donated for a good cause. Then I made myself a calendar with paints for a paint by number painting. My memory is the worst so I packed it up a while ago and each day I will get one little pot of paint to use. I also got the kids “The Ickabog” so we will be reading that during as sort of a calendar.
I said the same I couldn't put my finger on what the Berry bath blend smelt like I think it smelt like a cough medicine from when we were younger. I wasn't keen on the scent but everyone loves it. I like the mango 🥭 or banana 🍌 ones. My fave scents from the body shop are the mango 🥭 pink grapefruit and moringa. My fav book that changed my life was harry potter and the philosopher's stone it helped me fall in love with reading and it was a great way to escape xxx

So I'm loving advent calendar week, I actually bought the paper harry potter advent calendar for myself because I'm thinking of making a mini themed tree this year.
Honestly the book for me would be Jessica’s Ghost by Andrew Norriss. There’s such a good storyline and a big plot twist at the end but also a good meaning to it and it’s really quite thought provoking. I won’t go into too much detail as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who wants to read it but yeah, a really moving and good to read book xx
It might be a weird book to say changed my life but Night by Elie Wiesel changed mine. It made me realize just how bad some people have or had it compared to my hardships which made me appreciate life more and taught me that i should live for the moment and not dwell on the past or future because we never know just how long we have.
