My main aim was to visit the museum and art gallery.

First time hearing about Stoke-On-Trent. Thank you Steve. I found a lot of pottery on ebay from there. There used to a P-51 with the Packard version of the V12 RR Merlin engine at the air field next to my old job and I’d hear it idling - amazing sound… Assume the Spitfire sounds similar.

The Spitfire has a wonderful, throaty sound. Our eldest daughter lives near to an airfield where one regularly flies from.

The dogs outside the town hall are probably the most famous things to come out of the Staffordshire potteries, known as Staffordshire pottery dogs, very popular in every home in Victorian times and they would be placed at either side of the fireplace or on the hearth. So now you know. Thanks Steve.

Oh its such a dump now, dont even feel safe walking around hanley now, not many shops either everything closed down such a shame 😕
