Still can't believe this song didn't blow up
ikr one of my favorites
***** relatively no
+raqraqxox Believe it, Mac Miller, as well as other artists make songs that appeal to all his fans, to put it in perspective, his mixtape fans will find gems like this but his top 40 radio fans will not know this even exists
I still feel this. How?
Raqraqxox RIGHT
Mac got an endless catalog
Amazing artist
literally
“She say she love me for my cold ass raps…”
Any one else love that feeling when they hear a GOOD new song for the first time and you get that shiver?
Elliot Smith nah
its rare but yes Elliot
Yes indeed.
I live to feel this!
Yeah it feels like the twinkle in this song
ANYTHING SYD TOUCHES IS GOLD.. PEACE TO MAC MILLER KILLED DIS SHIT
Fuck yea he did!
She*
When I got word of Mac Miller’s passing I felt an inexplicable sense of loss and grief for someone I never knew. My son and I would listen to him - and this song in particular - for the calm and prophetic nature of this composition. We both liked his music and I would often listen to this tune to remind me of my love and connection with my son.
This is an outcome I never expected and I can hardly fathom the sense of grief and loss his parents, family and friends must be going through now.
My deepest and most sincere condolences to all his family. I share your grief as I feel like I lost a part of my past as well. Rest In Peace Mac. May the angels carry your soul to the highest level of consciousness. See you in the morning.
My son turned me on to him also and his nick name in high school was Mac Miller for his resemblance to him. Very sad news for sure. Too bad it seems the good ones leave us to early while the punk ass' endure
still in disbelief that he's gone...
“See you in the morning” - fuck man, making me cry all over again. My mind still denies the fact that he’s gone. Such an incredibly talented musician taken too soon
“See you in the morning” - fuck man, making me cry all over again. My mind still denies the fact that he’s gone. Such an incredibly talented musician taken too soon
Nothing but chills when I read this.
It amazes me that years after Mac's passing I still stumble back on these gems which are beautifully written and executed. His collaborations, production, and variance in sound just blows me away. This song is a gem.
RIP Mac, thinking of you daily
Same here he has so many gems
It's sad it took him dying for you to realize his talent.
What you just said echoes his songs over and over again. Even in this one
His entire discography is a journey and a look into the darkest (and lightest) parts of his psyche. And I am certain because of that he has atleast 1 song everyone can relate to.
Mac just had such a vibe. A few years ago I was in a car packed full of close friends, high as fuck, and riding down the highway looking out the window while it was lightly raining listening to this song. Won't ever forget that feeling. Mac was and is such a big part of my life. A legend never dies, 92 to infinity.
Bewix 🙌🏾
that sounds like such a vibe, my friends and I also listen to mac when we’re high as fuck and he puts us all at ease
Bruh This song makes me feel like a kid in the snow ☺️
RIP Mac. 💔
I loved this projects exclusive songs.
i want live from space on vinyl.
This song is the reason my I fell in love with the bass. Thundercat inspired me in every way possible to pick one up and learn how to play. The end solo in particular is something that ever gets old. When I was younger I would go with my mom and my grandmother to lift her spirits during her long battle with cancer. This song just reminds me of the days I spent trying to put a smile on her face. She unfortunately passed away December 24, 2015 the day before christmas. I have lately more than ever been trying to look for bass tabs for this and haven’t been able to. I’d honestly cry if I learned this song finally. No one understands my obsession with the solo at the end, it’s just the feeling of it I guess. I hope one day someone can tab it out so I can check it off my bucket list. Whoever actually got this far into reading this I hope you have a beautiful day, cherish every moment with your loved ones, and enjoy good music.
maybe try watch some yt videos of thundercat playing live and see if u can pick out anything your missing, like not even this song specifically ive never seen footage if it exists, but he clearly has his own style
I appreciate Thundercat's bass solo @ 3:00.....so mellow as I sit back & think about Life's journey & vibrations .....One Love everybody
Thundercat was channeling Jaco for that solo
Still my favorite Mac song of all time
used to bump this in the halls in high school, it seems like forever ago now. it’s still in my daily rotation somehow it always comes up in my shuffle, i’ll never get tired of it
We gotta make this song resurface it's a gem
Real talk
Fr
I hope Mac knows it's not about old Mac versus new Mac anymore... I don't know another story of artistic evolution near as beautiful and finesse
Real shit
+Dylan Mounsey kanye imo, but macs transition was amazing man i love almost all his projects excluding blue slide park
true mate.. mac has had like 4 different music styles in his career, and all of them are fine asf and have their own unique elements. sometimes it's the lyrics, sometimes it's the beat or the vibe or the instrumentals. Do you guys know he has even pure electronic music? really worth it to chek it out
him, Kanye, Kendrick, Cole, and Big Sean had great strides and transitions in their music, unfortunately I can’t say the same for Chance The Rapper (yeah The Big Day was shit, it could have had elements from 808s & Heartbreak and Divine Feminine imo, but no lol)
Phony Mex I mean I get it bro, and respect your opinion, but I’m just sayin
Thundercat is a legend and we should all support his music. Check out his "Drank" album which is chopped and screwed from his "Drunk" album. Shit is really good I can't stop listening to it.
Drank is just drunk Drunk
Listening this to hear macs mind at 22 i am 22 btw this album has some of my favorites of all time nostalgic as i listened to these songs 8 years ago heavy rip the goat hope we could link in another lifetime fr 💔

I have to stop myself. Its only 8 and if i keep drinking wine and listening to old mac my ass wont be going to work in the morning...xxx mac. You’re something
My favorite past time
That bass you hear ain't no sample tho. That's That boy Thundercat
He is fucking awesome! The bass makes the song !!
Damn this was tucked under the rug for no reason, absolute gem
A lot of people don't know... Thundercat actually produced this beat years ago. Like going on 5 years ago. He played this same track (without lyrics) on a KCRW broadcast shortly before he did Coachella back in 2012. Said "this was from when he used to try to be a producer". Dope!
Robert Casey Gault Jr. where is this beat
Mac isn't making music for the radio anymore, he's gonna make what he wants to and still be successful because he has a loyal fan base. Me being one of them, fav song on the album.
this song is so beautiful omfg
Girl say that again. I wanna dance with this type of beat VIVA LE MAC MILLER 😍🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I remember the summer this came out I listened to it everyday in the morning going to work cause it brought light to me day. I miss this dude so much. Life ain’t the same 😪
🙏🏾
"Life aint the same" hit me so hard... What I would give to go back to 2014, listening to this song, thinking life was finally okay. Looking back, things were perfect 😔
There is no old mac or old mac. .-. just plain old mac and his music is only getting better and better with each project and more complex and spiritual and real. He's just expressing himself and it sounds great.
There is no old mac or old mac, just plain old mac. OK thanks for clearing that up Ed.
O yeah i think i get it
This song will forever be nostalgic to me.This song, especially Thundercat's solo at the end, helped me get through a lot of change in my life. RIP Mac
to the people listening to this in 2020: you’re awesome and that thing you’ve been hoping for is right around the corner 💯
This was my favourite track!! Id listen to this one just this one for long hours on end
i think i could listen to thundercat solo for days on end
Rest in Paradise Mac Miller. 🌹🙏🏽
Gone to soon!
@@beastlaser9611 too fast😣😣😣
This beat... These lyrics... Been my favorite song for the longest time
Damn, I'm feeling the production, it's so fresh and different. Mac has really changed and gotten better looking back at kids
i think you need to look at hip hop again and realise he's, yes got better as an artist, but as a hip hop artist he has slowly moved away.
please note i am a huge mac fan but your statement is just simply retarded.
Material Music Your last statement was unnecessary and "simply retarded" as you put it. If you wanna give your opinion that's fine, but don't belittle others for theirs. Your opinion isn't better than anyone else's.
Fuck both of you mellow out and enjoy the track.
Nick Johnson That's what I'm talking about man!
Very true, my dude!
Music Is about progression and if Mac hasn't grown with his music his raps would have stayed like that 2011 shit but now he's mastering his lyricism and creating music rather than just rapping. He's an artist.
I love this tape is a trip
love this song. that ticking in the back keeps me grounded, idk how to explain it. long live Mac.
Syd with the voice softly, Thundercat is a musician for real
When Mac passed I just wanted to hear this on repeat! R.I.P.
RIP Malcolm McCormick ak Mac Miller, you're a timeless artist and a legend 💓
Syd's voice 😍
Yall are crazy Mac sounds 10 times better on these songs for real...his music sounds more mature now, Im enjoying it a lot more then before.
Ahmad Sakallah hes half jewish
it doesnt matter if hes a jew or not...his actions are legit and i look at people for what they do same as you
Ahmad Sakallah
humans created rap, and humans will keep creating it. there are tons of black rappers out there.
Ahmad Sakallah d you just say ali created rap?
Listen I dont wanna shit on your parade, but I cant let you go through life telling people Muhammad ali created rap... I am black so I dont want you thinking im just being a dick because you said african americans utilized it. If anything Muhammad ali was the first to destroy rap. All he "rapped" about was how he was the best and how he was better than everyone else. His flow was slow but decent at best, no word play, no lyricism, no skill. Just saying something, filling in syllables with words so theres was a slight rhythm. In all actuality ali was a POET he used alot of smilies and a FEW metaphors to get his words across. If we looked at it from your point of view, dr Seuss created rap, he had wordplay, lyricism, rhythm and much more. There was ACTUAL meaning from what dr Seuss said, in the story about the 2 types sneetches, (ones with stars on their stomach and others with no star) the group with stars on their chest would not let the other group play with them because they had stars. Im not going explain the whole story but basically at first glance when you reach the end of the book you think it was about being happy with yourself and the way you were born but When you read it again you realize it was about racism and how everyone is equal. "The great butter battle" 2 groups were different because 1 group ate toast with the butter side up and the other ate toast with the butter side facing down. The two groups didnt want anyone from opposite groups crossing the borders so they had border security, When one sides security found out the other side had better weapons, they would run back home and tell their homebase and return with better weapons, threatening to use it on the other side. This repeated itself until each side had outrageously advanced weapons and kept threatening to use it. In they end they realized they didnt care how the other side buttered their toast and threw down their weapons. At first glance this book is about accepting people because they are different. Look again and realize this book is about the cold war, militarism, and armaments. When russia found out america had an atom bomb and used it on japan, they sought to build one themselves and when they did, america found out and began expanding militarism and making better bombs and weapons. Russia did the same and befire long they were breathing down each others necks threatening to nuke each other. Muhammad Ali "rapped" about how he was faster than everyone else, no one could defeat him, and compared himself to butterflies and bees. There is no second glancing at Muhammad alis words because there was no wordplay behind it, or strong messages. All he did was state all the way he was better than someone and made his words rhyme. There is no aspiring message behind his words l, there is no hidden message, everything he said was straight forward and boring. If he was a rapper today, mac, kendrick, soul, cole, veggies, sweatshirt even drake would destroy him lyrically. If anything Muhammad ali is the lil wayne of rap and Dr Seuss is nas. All that said, I refuse to believe "ali" created rap. Rap originated from disco. And sugar hill gang probably has more rights to claim to have created rap than ali ever will.
This beat is amazing. And Syd on the hook is an added bonus omg..
Most underated mac song

We miss you Mac. I'm frustrated I just found this song. I think I will vibe everyday to this song.
Wow, this sounds like it would come on right after a Biggie song on the radio during the 90s. Mac has so many gems. I hope his family decides to keep releasing his music on hard drives.
Complete bliss. Mac passed and I still keep finding more and more of his stuff. Makes it seem like hes still here

All these people hating on Macs new songs he's getting older perspectives change. His raps are more mature, like him. I'm loving the new style and I still listen to his old music and have done since 2010

Mac Miller has a different style which he is my idol because he don't just talk about drugs and Shit he talks about life his understanding on life is what makes him a great rapper
RIP Mac❤️❤️
Best song of his new tracks!
This why he is "my" favorite rapper, period.
It’s like, I basically began my dream to be a serious artists and musician when I first found Mac, he will always be my greatest inspiration, I’ve never felt as much of a connection in any other artist, I’d be completely lost if it wasn’t for this mans creativity, optimism, free thinking, and spirituality that he poured into all of his work, I don’t even know what kind of person I was or could be.. I’m not trying to say that I Idolize him. But, at this time in my life he’s like the only person, other than a few very close Relatives and Friends, that I feel could ever understand how I feel or what I’m going through. It’s too bad I never had the chance to shake this mans hand. God Bless his soul, and his Family and the people who were always there for him.
Every album/mixtape he drops never fails.
