Even if Eunwoo’s name was brought up, I think what he said was totally unnecessary and quite petty to be honest. He could have just said that he didn’t have as many scenes with Eunwoo as he had with Gummy and hadn’t the chance to get to know him better. End of. Not very adult of him and it seriously makes him look like he has a bad case of sour grapes. Tsk tsk tsk! Shame on you!

in case you don't know, dongyeon is a straightforward person. he never sugarcoats his words even if he doesn't mean harm through them. he never intended to talk bad about eunwoo, he just wanted to describe how they never got along because of their different sense of humors. people will naturally think of the same thing when they don't get along with someone. he just voiced it out without hesitation. may you hear this out or not, i just wanted to explain his side. thank you.

@@kersey6296 As the older person and more experienced actor, what he did was still a seriously lack of manners. I for one always applaud honesty but not at the expense of someone else’s feelings unless they totally deserved it. In this case I think Eunwoo did nothing to deserve it. All I can say I hope that Dongyeon learns to mind his manners next time and be a little mindful that words spoken especially in a public forum can have hurtful repercussions. What he says and thinks in private he is entirely entitled to. But being a public figure and under the scrutiny of many people, be mindful is my advice.

he may have been comfortable saying that freely because eunwoo is of the same age as him so he dropped the honorifics and all. i do think it was unnecessary to bring the other actor up and i see that he was too frank about it that it led to eunwoo's fans being offended. it's just that dongyeon has been receiving an overwhelming amount of hate from the actor's fans until now that *some* eunwoo fans are throwing hate on him every now and then like he inflicted such major problem on the actor's career. i felt like i had to step up and explain his side. i know that whatever harmless purpose this statement of dongyeon's is rooted in, it can still be differently interpreted by the audiences. nonetheless, i understand your point and thank you for elaborating on this matter.

@@kersey6296 Thank you for your comment and trying to explain his behaviour. At the end of the day I hope that lessons can be learned on all sides from this really unnecessary state of affairs. Also please understand that I do not throw hate on him but I’m renowned for calling a spade a a spade. Actually I’m quite disappointed because I was impressed by his performance in Vincenzo and hoped to see more of him but this incident has left a rather unpleasant taste in my mouth and dampened my enthusiasm for him. Sad but true. Ah well! It’s done. I’m glad that we got to discuss this like two adults and understand each other’s point of view. Thank you again.

Not everyone has to love Cha Eunwoo. He was not bashing him, he just said, their personalities don't match and that's just fine. He said it out of his perspective and should be aloud to do so.

he only said things from his perspective. it was never (and will never be) his intention to talk bad about eunwoo. he just said they didn't have the same humor like most people in the world do. it's up to you how you'd interpret it but based on the actual context that came from him, he just said they were different. nothing else :) he wasn't the one who brought eunwoo up anyways.

KDY is a straight-forward, realistic person. He says what he feels. Maybe sounds harsh for you who loves Eun Woo. But, he just said his opinion and feelings. He's the type of person who can not say "Eun Woo is fun person, I can get along well with him" while he's not.
