Another very interesting video 13.40 'The structure of the book was excellent. It made it quite digestible'. Even better with a nice chianti & a few fava beans 😄

What intercepting NI phone calls in Wales? Remember pre mobile phones so, we're talking intercepting node transmission links, actually easy at the time but, within a narrow band meaning position / line of sight. The actual station he's stating is for communicating with submarines around the world at extremely low frequency. Some expert? Electronic intelligence was really collected by E4A, JCU / 14th Int Det within the Province and; green Army cameras should be noted.
    He bounces around, saying little

Complete non answer to the Derry question. Derry on the West Bank is almost 100% Nationalist. Derry had also a tout policy were their families could be targeted in the 80s at least.
The IRA had it's cells but they weren't that active in Derry but there was a massive number of members. One theory is that Martin Mcguinnes was "Infliction" the informer. So the IRA were essentially allowed Derry as an enclave as long as the cells weren't too active.
