This is probably the best BTOB guide I've seen. The only thing I would have included that they didn't is that Hyunsik and Changsub both attended Howon University for their Applied Music program. It's the most prestigious music school in the country. Only 5 out of 3,000 people were accepted that year and there were only 2 guys accepted that year...Changsub and Hyunsik. Also, all of the members solos are fantastic but Changsub's Mark album is so good...I don't even have words for it. I would highly recommend it. The song that you were asking about is "Shelter" from the album. The single was, "At the End." I also agree about Ilhoon. It's really so sad that the country wants to ruin someone's life over something that didn't even hurt anyone else ,while they other sex criminals getting out of jail after a couple of months. It's insane. Also, it seems to me that really it was self-medicating and it could possibly be because South Korea has a huge stigma against mental health issues. Not that we know anything for a fact...it's just an observation on my part.
I’m proud of the Howon line too, but I think I need to correct your fact a little bit. Changsub and Hyunsik were among 5 accepted for ‘early admission’. Which means a special admission for the best candidates (they had to attend a special audition). Of course there are other students too for the intake.
CUBE really got a jackpot with BTOB. Thank you for appreciating them!!! They'll be having a comeback this month :) Feb 2022 ..and we missed Ilhoon so much!!
Yeah, We kinda expected Minhyuk to rip his shirt anytime in Kingdom.... Haha>','< I just remembered, Peniel was supposed to be a guitarist in Day6. Bass guitar, I think.
The one song that Changsub was actually not a cover. It was the song Shelter from his own solo mini album. It's a fantastic album. 11/10 would recommend it. I also don't like summer, btw. Can't wait for Autumn and Winter. Gimme Halloween and Christmas soon!
Thanks for speaking about your opinions on Ilhoon’s case. I completely agree. He doesn’t deserve to serve 2 whole years of his life, leave behind his career and pay a large fine for stress relief in a fucked up industry.
Agreed. Would people prefer he become an alcoholic? So many people say “but it’s the law” yet there are many laws that change because we learn that some laws are based on outdated facts or beliefs. Marijuana is far less dangerous than alcohol yet people perceive it to be more dangerous because people continue to ignore extensive scientific research and lump it in with drugs like heroin and meth.
@@deedeeschway9566 well put, I really hate it when something has a bad rep because people blindly spread outdated opinions and don’t care to look into the facts behind it as a whole.
@@ava5959 yes and because of ilhoon i did reserch and learn about drugs and i strongly agree that safe drugs like marijuana and mushrooms should be legal and use to treat people with mental illness.
YAY BTOB guide. The songs that were used to introduce each member were actually their solo MVs. By now every member has solo stuff. Peniel even has a mixtape which I don't think was mentioned (unless I missed it). When it comes to dancing, their earlier stuff are definitely more dance heavy, only since 2015 they focused more on vocals, but still release dance tracks from time to time (like Movie & I'll Be Your Man). And yeah, I agree that Cube holds some of the most talented people (their scouting department knows how to find people with potential) but they honestly don't know how to help those talents flourish properly smh.
maybe this can help 😊 minhyuk - melodic rap ilhoon - lazy rap Peniel - peptalk rap 😅 ...like when he do his rap he is like talking a sense to you...as if he is just talking to you in a melodic way... try listening to beautiful pain... and see in peniels part he is giving u a peptalk...
Wow! This is great guide. There are a lot of BTOB guides and I think the most informative was the recent ones like this. More informative that being "funny" like. There is a 2 part guide but I mostly don't recommend that eventhough it's much more complete because Ilhoon is not there but its very nicely done. Mght recommend this guide to others too. Thank you for looking into them. The creator may not put their solo songs because he/she might want you to discover them yourself. Anyway, I'm really looking forward for more BTOB related vids from your channel. And I love how you think about IH's situation. I hope someday, Korea won't be that backward when it comes to that issue. He's a good and great man. For most Melody, he's still BTOB.
Awwww I’m so happy it’s a recent guide WITH Ilhoon 🥺🥺 All the members are really all so talented even if they work individually, and when they are together BAMM
On Kingdom Changsub said he’s 10 years older than Jeongin and that Eunkwang and Minhyuk were a year older. They also VERY briefly mentioned them being in their thirties a few times.
yeah, this is the first time I watched the guide also, it was good. and you should watch BTOB's live singing, they are soooooooooo damn good, I mean, the complete group one. and actually, BTOB can dance, and they are good, they all-rounder, the 7 of them, but they are just too lazy to dance. they feel they are already too old, oh maybe just Changsub, my man. XD
Btob is so talented, funny and friendly.. I'am fan of mamamoo but i love BTOB.. Fun fact: BTOB AND MAMAMOO ARE SO CLOSE MELODIES AND MOOMOOS ARE ALSO CLOSE THEY ALSO KNOWN AS MAMAMOO AND BTOB ARE VERSION EACH OTHER
oh my god, i've been waiting for someone to react to this guide ahhh!! thank you so much for this, and thank you to the requestor! i was literally JUST wondering when you might react to another btob video right before i checked for new uploads, this is such a coincidence i'm honestly scared haha and yES, hello to a fellow summer hater! all the best holidays (and food, to accompany them) happen during the later months, and i could never understand how people can essentially enjoy living in an oven whenever they step outside (no offense, ofc)... but also, if you don't mind, i guess i can answer some things that you have mentioned down below :) 13:50 you probably figured it out already, but i believe the 'style' description was just describing the general genre(s) that the specific member makes for their solo music; the intro card transitions (member name on top, a song + mv playing below) are actually snippets of their solo title tracks, so i'm assuming that's kinda where the creator shows off the 'style' and yep, the huge majority of btob's discography, including their biggest hits, are produced by themselves! as much as the cube sucks, it's nice to see that, albeit restricted, even their earlier groups still had at least some control over the production of their music (highlight self-produced a lot when they were beast too, and actually made some for btob). the rappers had been writing all of their own raps since debut (and pre-debut for minhyuk, who was an underground rapper under the name 'huta'), and ilhoon was even involved the the composition of 3 songs on their 1st album, including the title track (he actually joined the company w/o auditioning to become a producer) btob actually struggled quite a bit in their earlier days, and blue box was kinda limiting their control over their music. the members were actually able to get a lot of their self-produced b-sides approved (plus like one or two title tracks), but 'i'll be your man' was when they were finally allowed FULL control, and they've became completely self-produced since then. as you can tell, they're incredibly musically oriented; for example, on top of producing every song on his solo album, hyunsik even recorded his own instrument playing for all of them! changsub and hyunsik also got admitted into one of the most prestigious practical music programs for university in korea w/ a 600:1 acceptance rate, being the only two boys accepted that year they themselves say that they're bad at dancing... when they actually originally debuted as an acrobatic dance group (and are honestly good dancers, at that) it's indeed true that they were training to be a band (fnc entertainment really popularized idol bands back then), but then cn blue came out in 2010 and dominated so btob had to switch gears up completely. they never danced before then, but as shown in that clip of them flipping around, they all can even do stunts now. though they're definitely a vocal-oriented group and less focused on dance now, they still have choreo for all of their title tracks and also some b-sides they performed live, ballad or not sorry if i've rambled too much about them, i kinda got a little hyped after seeing this haha. thank you so, so much for the reaction again though, it's super awesome to see you getting deeper into btob! :D
Thanks for the insightful comment! It's interesting to know that they actual had a pretty rough start after debut. Didn't know CN Blue was so influential like that either
