- The family of Justin Johnson and his attorney is speaking to the media following his death last week.
Police say he was playing tag with friends, but Central Dauphin School District called attention to racially charged language used while Justin was running away.
"He's going back to Africa," one teen is heard saying on surveillance video.
The coroner said Justin died from "natural causes," with his sickle cell disease and heart issues contributing to the tragic death.

My son was bullied in kindergarten. He came home with an open scar on his leg and a bruise around his eye. I took him out of that school because I was not notified until end of day when I came to pick him up. I took him out of the private school because I did not trust them to properly care or report incidents to me. The Leesburg school director told me that she was understaffed. My son had tears dried up on his face that looked like someone held him but they never called me. I would've come to the school immediately. In the first grade in Florida, he was verbally abused daily for weeks while the teacher did nothing. My son came home crying and did not want to go back to the school. I spoke to the principal who changed teachers and the bully was expelled from school. Found out later, he was kicked out of several schools. I homeschooled him from 2nd grade (family traveled internationally) He really enjoyed it.
My son was bullied too. The only reason he wouldn’t fight back is because I taught him not to. Then my thought process changed. I said, “No, no more.” I told him, “give ppl three chances. If on the third warning, they don’t stop, kick their ass.”
He did. And the bullying stopped.
Sometimes we have to allow our kids to fight fire with fire. That’s life, that’s the world we live in.
My parents told me and I told my children “never hit first” but if you get hit “finish it”.
I pray your son is alright.
Charge the parents , racism is a taught behavior and they say and do what's learned from the parents. I personally know i'm mixed. RIP to precious Justin.
It’s not always from the parents I know of a case of bullying the parents had no idea their child was using such words it’s parents not monitoring their kids phones and internet etc
I totally agree with both of you. I learned a lot as a Teacher. Social media has exposed our children to things their minds should never see or hear. That is why there is so much violence among teenagers. It is sad. Racism ruins communities and families. The video games are more violent. They need to be banned. Very sad story. Praying for the family.

My heartbreaks for the family. All involved need to be prosecuted. The intent was to go to Justin’s home to hurt him. This was racially motivated in my opinion. Justin just wanted to be accepted but instead evil took his life. We all know if the roles was reversed they’d be indicted already.
If I didn’t hear what they say I would think otherwise, but they did not mean well, they should be brought to JUSTICE

I believe Justin's family should seek CRIMINAL CHARGES. The Principal and School Counselor showed up to "show support".. they should've showed up WITH FACES AND NAMES OF THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED. Showing up to really support a family would be showing up with Funeral Funds, details of those involved, providing free counseling sessions, providing gifts for their loss, asking how can we best support you on behalf of one of our student who is no longer with us.. they obviously didn't care.

I truly hope that these teens are held accountable. Their intentions were NOT GOOD AT ALL. I hope that this father fights this horrific incident. The media puts the end result on line. My question was why was this young man targeted???? I heard that these teens were constantly bullying this boy in school so yes the school board for Central Dauphin needs to be included in this investigation. 🤨 Jasmine Brooks stated on Monday that he was being bullied at School before this happened. These teens were NOT FRIENDS or they wouldn't have used racial slurs.. kids repeat what they hear in their homes. I was born and raised in Central Dauphin. My family was one of the 1st minority families that moved in the specific area back in the 1980's. So yes this story definitely has my full attention. There are too many unanswered questions surrounding this story. Excellent attorney here. I will definitely be following this story. Prayers for justice for this family and hope that his family will find closure🙏

This is so tragic & sad for Justin who came to the 🇺🇸 from Jamaica to start a new life playing football @ school & starting a new life in America. His poor parents who are well educated & loved their son & now he's gone & so are their dreams for him & his loss has forever changed this devastated family! 😢 I hope these 16 year olds weren't there to intentionally hurt him.
