Loved this movie and great upload. Never heard of this one and it was beyond wonderful. Spencer Tracy and Joan were both fabulous and the story superb!! Thank you DK!!
I would love to see all of Tracy's Fox films - why are most of them never shown? I've seen all his post-1935 films many times, mostly MGM and often on TCM.
Some of those old movies belong to the studios' vault legacy or to the archives series. And some of those old movies have an exclusive run distribution deal only with TCM or they're only available on a DVD-R online pre-order direct from the licensed manufacturer or studio. Most of Tracy's films and a lot of the other older films will never make it out of the vault because the demand for a specific movie, or series, has to be big enough to justify it being streamed, leased, or licensed out to the public/movie collectors.
I will go against the grain by saying I thoroughly enjoyed the drunken antics and could imagine people roaring with laughter in picture theatres back then. The dog? It was the Great Depression.
I wonder if audiences back then thought the (long drawn out) drunk fisherman scenes were funny... they were not- just very annoying, boring & totally unnecessary to the story.
The drunk and the dude repeating what Tracy said got on my nerves. The scene with the dog who’s going in the river cuz the owner can’t afford to feed him made me sick. Tracy saved the pooch. Tracy and Bennett good chemistry. This movie has its moments I don’t think I would watch it again tho.
I can't believe I hadn't seen this movie. Really enjoyed it. The repartee between Spencer and Joan was really slick. Thanks again DK.
Joan was 22 here and such a cutie pie!
Never was a Spencer Tracy fan but loved this movie thanks
One of the BEST Spencer Tracy movies I have seen! Thank you,for showing it! ALL of the actors were"" Jake!"
Ah great idea DI. A nice way to fill time before lunch.
I haven't seen this in, well it's been a long time. Thanks.
My pleasure 😊
What a fantastic after Mr. Spencer Tracy ! One of the Greatest ever 😊 Thank you
The dog scene!!!! im so glad he got to go

Sweet film, thanks much.
The drawn out drunken fisherman sequence was plain boring and annoying and not in the least bit funny
I thought it was sad,to see someone so intoxicated is not enjoyable to see in a film.
It definitely didn't do anything for the movie. IMHO
Boring

Is this not She Wanted a Millionaire by any chance? Same year, same leading actors...
GOAT Drunk
More jokes than Richard Pryor and George Carlin combined.

DK, in another venue, still the master uploader. Early Walsh work
Thank you
You won't have to find it. You'll know where it is!😂
Pitch perfect 1930s slang. As an old guy, I like these classic movies. Thanks for sharing this. #Jake😎
This was a very enjoyable movie with the great Spencer Tracy. Old movies are addictive and for all members of the family. I give this a 9 rating.
Quite a good example of Pre Code.
BOOM....like that! Thank you~
A laff-a-minute!

I just love that specific fizzle .. that sweet sound , in all these old movies! Besides the obvious: indeed golden era of cinema.
That was fun! Thank you. 💖
Sensational film.
Just loved it!
Wow. Everybody can kiss your new bride first buy YOU. That's kind of very odd to me. LOL.
