Not just one factor
Many recent immigrants have been freeloaders, hardly contributing at all so the actual workers have to bear that burden. Lack of building space, plots of land in the USA can come very cheap in many areas. In the UK people are selling empty plots for well over half the price of a house lol. Bills and rent too high due to overcrowding. Skilled work hardly pays more than unskilled work so why bother train 5 years to be a doctor just for shit pay. those on benefits are often just as well off as those in full time work. UK has killed any incentive for people to aim high.
