Loved Jay Taj the entire time on the show and thought he was for sure going to win the entire thing. I'm convinced that they couldn't let a West Coast guy win two seasons in a row, but everyone in their hearts knows this guy was the best of the bunch. He's such a classy guy, and so glad I got to learn more about him through this episode, like the fact that he's Pacific Islander!! Loved all y'alls conversation about multi-cultural upbringing, it's these types of convos that make the world a better and more inclusive place!
Yeah, he's on a completely different level and I'm not even trying to throw shade at DreTL because I could never write and perform at either of their level and he has a unique voice, but Jay was miles ahead. He's a genuine, real individual, who I'm sure all of us consider an actual artist, rather than just a rapper. He is involved in every aspect of his music and delivers in such a unique way, it was refreshing. Like Luda said, people will be pressing that follow button immediately after he performed "Believe me", I was definitely among them. I couldn't get that song out of my head, the only contestant who I truly remember, added to my playlist, and follow his interviews.
No Only I feel Like They Know They Can Control A Kid Jay Taj Is So Humble You Ain’t Going To Change His Mind💯
Jay Taj most definitely is the People's Champion!
Great to learn more about this legend in the making, the wisdom and maturity shines bright.
Keep on showing up and showing out, brother!
Luda, Latto and DJ Khaled owe this man a free collab fr!!!
An apology too 😢
JayTaj all day every day!!! I cried several times watching his performances. I was sure he was going to win, and he should have! HANDS DOWN!!!
The man put on a Grammy award winning show at the finale. How do you lose?
Dude he was better than everyone
They want someone to dumb down the culture and who they can take advantage of, that whole show was rigged
Jay Taj absolutely killed it on RnF and definitely was my favourite to win. Regardless of the outcome, I'm so happy to find him and am looking forward to what he puts out next!
JayTaj should have one for sure. Really gave it to the hometown guy.
won*
Yeah I’m mad he didn’t win but I’m glad Dre and Jay are really good friends so they’ll keep each other lock in fr
Jay Taj is so humble! He is taking everything with such grace
THE PEOPLES WINNER! REEEEAL WINNER 🔥
I always enjoy it when yall bring on genuinely cool guests like this, Jay seems like someone you instantly wanna be homies with.
dear lord, this guy is so emotionally intelligent. lol. it's amazing.
Jay Taj is my favorite bro. Bro is genuine and original
I have been waiting for some Jay Taj interviews to drop so thank you!! ❤👏🏼
He’s already a star, sign this man and give him that big check! He’s stage ready!
Salute to the People's Champ, Jay Taj.
Absolutely enjoyed Jay Taj’s music 🎶 the whole way through! ❤ His demeanor is so cool ,collective, knowledgeable, and well versed and definitely shows in his music and the way he carries himself. Loved this conversation and learning more about him and how his neighborhood and Santa Ana has put influences in his artistry. God Bless Jay Taj! 🙏🏼❤️🫶🏽
I didnt even hear of this guy till the show on netflix now i am a fan his music is so different love him , my mans def getting a record deal
That HoB show was dope! I was there for my boy Jason J having never heard of Jay Taj, but came away as a huge fan. It really was one of the best live rap performances I've ever seen.
What I appreciate the most about Jay's performance is that you could actually understand him and the energy is always correct. No overhyped yelling, no running out of breath, no craziness. Just pure execution.
You hold that shit down
We all know who the real winner of season 2 is this guy should of won
Amazing episode, love it when it’s a genuine vibe and conversation especially towards end 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
JayTaj is my favorite on rhythm and flow
He should’ve won!
im from garden grove so i loved that jaytaj was from santa ana! rooted for him the whole series!
Was not expecting to see JayTaj on here. This’ll be interesting.👀
he posted about it and they did as well
@@Evan-dm3sioh bet, completely missed them, haha. Nice surprise, I guess
Jay Taj ! 🏆 The island got you forever bro 🙌🏽🇬🇺
I fw DreTL man but since they introduct Jay Taj I knew he was either going to be a finalist or winning the whole thing. Round after round he proved to be different. So when they anounced the winner, I immediately turned it off because it was that BLASPHEMOUS!
literally turned it off as soon as DreTL’s name was said
Nah bruh! the slideshow section of this podcast is insane I love it😂😂😂😂😂
slideshow podcast could be a new style fr lol
Yo Jay Taj you got robbed. Straight up. Ain’t no way the judges did that. You dope bro. Quality shit. Keep it pushing. You got a fan from Harlem NYC
Not my man and favorite comic already knowing each other. I couldn't be happier😭✨️
Humble grounded , great guy and talented , wish you every bit of luck moving forward 🍀 from London uk
This was awesome. But dang wish we could have seen the second half 😢. Keep killing it jay taj.
JayTaj should have won. The person that won could not even rap on beat the whole show. The judges picked who they liked not who was the best. The show is about who is the best not potential of what could be. The guy that won shouldn't have been in the finals. He wasn't horrible but he needs alot of work. JayTaj was the most consistent on the show but also others got better as the show went on. Don't have Luda, Khalid and Lotto back to judge ever.
Nikki is naturally beautiful. No make up is so sexy. We are so proud of you Uce Jay
That I got the Radio Voice and Radio Body hitting towards the end of the show 😂😭😭
I could tell JayTaj was extremely polished before he got to the show. How he carried himself showed he knew what he was doing
When Nikki said growing Mix was as different back then…. I felt that!!!!
But I’m so happy in the pride of weird that is taken today.
NATURAL NIKKI COMIN THRUUUU!!!! LOVE IT!!!
I love you JayTaj..you won without a doubt.
We are PASIFIKA!! Your representation is seen and appreciated and we are here for it!!! Loved Jay on RnF and is def the People's Champ!! Can't wait to see what he brings next. Stay up uce! Ofas!
I remember Tim from the days when Dumbfoundead and Sahtyre used to battle rap. Grind Time, etc.
So cool to hear the backstory! Jaytaj is an awesome dude and great rapper. Can’t wait to see what he’s up to next.
Jay Taj..you need to release song with Lucky..that was incredible. 😢
I love how West Coast this episode was!!!
This guy is freaking awesome 👏 I just knew he was going to take the whole thing 😞I can’t wait to see what’s next ❤
The vibes were immaculate 🔥💞🙏🏽✨ happy holidayyysss!
12:39 😁 Sending love from Slovakia Tim, I've been watchin' your videos since 2010 🙏
Damn that 2nd half of the video feed must have been taken my the Santa Ana winds
He wasn't lying! Santa ana is the core of OC! And we all proud to be from santa ana!!
“They have their own winds” 😂😂😂😂
Love this!!
Damn I haven't seen jay Taj in a hot minute. I wish he still had his old vids up. He's like in the back files of my old RUclips brain 😂
don’t know this dude…but his VOICE and CADENCE…wow, no wonder he’s a rapper 😍😍
Loved this bro from the minute he stepped on the Netflix show
As a Viet kid growing up in LA, anytime we’d visit OC/little Saigon we always called it “Santa Ana” even though it was technically Westminster/garden grove/fountain valley
Much love from Aōtearoa 🇳🇿 Pasifika to the mf world 💯
love no chaser, best podcast!! watch dudes behind the foods too, but we love rick and nikki!
that was a BLATANT robbery. Jay Taj is THE TRUTH! 🔥🔥🔥
The collab I didn't know I needed 🔥
you won Episode 1 when you first came on. still bumpin yo shit. big ups.
Everyone sayin bro should’ve won, don’t get me wrong Jay taj was the best in the season, but the judges was saying the whole time that they were looking to create a star. Jay taj was already that.
Let’s go Uce!!!!!🇦🇸✊🏾🇼🇸💯 0:44
Yooo I can relate… I’m black, filipino and Chamorro and my black family the only ones that never said we wasn’t one of them. Respect
Jay Taj! All day baby!!!
Just started watching last night now I don’t have to Thanks Tim for saving my time lol
Have you heard of Poetik? He’s an amazing PI hip hop artist and one of the hearts of Polynesian hip hop. His music speaks to the soul of our culture-definitely worth a listen.
JayTaj the truuuuffff!!!
He definitely should have been the winner
love from santa ana 🤎🤎
The opening was so good omg 😂😂😂
The Uso 🔥🔥🔥
Loved the show
Santa Ana come up! Uncle Kev smiling from up top!
INSTANT SUB OFF THE TIM, THE JAY, THE SET, LEGGGOOO!
Happy Thursday
That’s a true friendship right there. Biba Islan Guahan! Thank you NCG! #giggles #smexiiness #fromAKwithlove
Man I wanted Jay Taj to win but I feel like he's gonna make it anyway cause his artistry is so good. We need to see that Jay Taj x D smoke link up. I'm Polynesian and the first thing I noticed was Jays Tatau.
He freaking WON
🇬🇺 Hafa Adai all day!
santa ana really do got everything 🤭 my favorite thing about santa ana is definitely tapatia 🤭
I personally thought DreTL deserved the win but Jay Taj a class act fr🏆
Bro, who is in charge of the audio for the podcast, levels were **cked on this.
Damn! Jess Lizama is Chia approved and now Jay Taj is a 10yr friend!? My wife and I knew there was a reason we fuck with Tim! He down with the CHamoru’s! As always much live from Guam 🇬🇺!!🤙🏽🤙🏽
Boyle heights, hell yeah. BHTS
LOVE TO SEE MY PPL 🤎🤎🤎
I thought that was Joshy Gonz. 😆
We all know who the real champion is. The industry still out of touch
I was Creator’s Radio #1 fan 😅
This is probably the wrong way but, the DDE youtube channel is doing another "block party" at the Compton HQ in January and if I were connected to either party I would see the opportunities.
Nothing goes better with exotic cars than good music.
I'm just a long time fan of No Chaser that knows more exposure means more Niki, Tim and Rick.
Love Jay
He won only one round..that doesn’t determine the entire performance. He sucked and he should not have made it as far as he did..but it is what is..now we are going to see what his future will bring.
@ he defo deserved to be at the end I would have loved to see jaxs in the top three but he deserved it too. Then he bodied the last song. No one had it like him at the end it’s just what it is. Hate to see the do nothing internet bums hating. I’m sure they all have great careers in the future I’m excited for jaxs the most though
Definitely the people's champ. Jay Taj should have won.
Finally real perceptions on real life shit real Californian shit ! The part about Downey is so funny n so real lol the part about not feeling like u fit in is so real ! Big fan Jay taj !
The real winner
There's no way that other dude with the false teeth won bruh . Jay taj was by far the cleanest rapper . They just didn't want two west coast rappers to win in a row
Whats the song they were singing in the beginning i forgot
Yeah, you can definitely tell we grew up in the generation when Usher was running things lol
don''t know how this guy lost... the other dude couldn't stay on beat for 80% of the show.... probably won because he was from ATLANTA....
ForSure Tha Best Kat In That Show !!
JAY TAJ, I say thank God! 🤣
s/o to the Chamorro’s🇬🇺💪🏾
Everyone thinks they go to hate DreTL just because they don't fuck with his style. DreTL represents the new era of hip-hop. He has bigger potential in terms of the industry direction that's why the judges picked him. Jay Taj appeals to old heads. He will do fine without winning.
but jay taj is extremely more talented if we’re being real
He definitely should've won 🏆
