Sounds awesome!! Can you explain if this video is in normal mode or on sport mode? Also how is the sound inside cabin from a longer drive perspective. Is it too loud or annoying and can you still listen to music without it being overpowering? Thanks
Hey Taz, this video was shot in sport mode mainly. Generally speaking on highways it is bearable when you are cruising at a constant speed, however it is definitely too loud for city driving. There is drone in the cabin for sure. I have recently installed an automatic valve to control the sound, so I can have it louder or quieter when felt like. So no complains after adding the valves.
For sure, at the moment I currently own a 2008 Sport HST supercharged and a 2012 Sport HSE. Both of these vehicles are completely different when it comes to driving! I personally prefer the supercharged model more as this one feels more planted compared to the normal one. The steering is heavier, the suspension is stiffer and generally a more sportier drive for an enthusiast. Whereas the HSE on the other hand has a more comfortable setup… the steering response is softer, suspension is smoother etc. Out of experience, I’d recommend you to stick with the supercharged models (engines are known to be more reliable) and get a full PPI done before purchase. Avoid cars that have shady modifications/work done with the electronics, these cars are super sensitive when it comes to electronics. Just keep a look out for vehicles with a solid suspension and transmission setup in my opinion. My ownership experience for both have been super positive! but since you are in dubai, you should definitely take it to a specialist garage and change all the old coolant and radiator hoses to avoid any potential breakdowns. These pipes are usually old and with the temperature increasing there’s a risk of them bursting in any car period.
There are some online Facebook groups you can join, in which people share the current issues they are facing and potential fixes. I’d say give it a shot if you find a clean one, definitely a fun project car. The supercharged models you can easily throw it around on a track and you’ll barely lose traction (if you have performance tires). Theres a lot of room for performance modifications aswell.
@@alishah997 I really appreciate the reply Ali! and yes, I am aiming to get the 2008 supercharged. The funny thing that I am an anti Range Rover guy lol, but the car for the money ratio I am getting is absolutely absurd!! These cars depreciated so much! That's why I am skeptical, because I know Range Rovers are not that reliable and the suspension in these models tends to break, that's why a lot of people change it to regular suspensions. However, after doing my research, I noticed that the models from 2007 to 2010 or or 12 are the best for supercharger, and have the Jaguar engine which is fairly reliable than the older BMW models. Any car will need work during ownership, but my question is the following, is the replacement parts expensive to get, and can you recommend a trustable shop that works on RRs in Dubai?
@@zak007rk to be honest with you, my supercharged model has been super reliable for me and I barely have to pay anything than the regular oil changes, filters etc. My suspension also feels solid at the moment. If you can’t take a specialized mechanic to check out the car before purchase, what you can do is park the car for 1-2 days and see if the car starts to slam/go low on any of the sides. If it does, it’ll just need new hoses as the current one just has leaks and shouldn’t be an issue. However if you delay fixing the issue, you may need a new compressor and a few more parts which can get costly (you’ll need this when the car refuses to get back to normal ride height). So you can easily detect early on if you are going to face the suspension issue. You can pretty much get this car fixed in every garage in alqouz. However I mainly use Royal garage for mechanical work. If your job is super complicated I’d recommend Bon Voyage, they specialize in bugatti, Ferrari, rolls royce etc. I’ve been going to these 2 garages personally since the last 10 years+ with some of my other cars. However if you are on a tight budget, then going to Sharjah is your best option. Depending on the type of parts, they are relatively cheap in my opinion. However if your budget is tight, you can get used/scraped parts aswell
@@alishah997 Hey bro, Appreciate all of the info and tips! I just bought my L320 2007 yesterday It was the cleanest I could find after a long long search. Today I wanted to test the power of this baby so I smashed my foot on the pedal until it hit 180km/h from a 60 or 80. Before reaching home I noticed the heat gage was almost at the top and the AC was not cold anymore, I parked the car and switched off. It was showing on the dash three errors: 1-transmission fault traction reduced 2-reduced engine performance 3-low coolant level I checked the engine and the coolant was really low (it was normal level when I got it) and there was splashed of coolant all over the engine bay. I waited the car to cool down and filled the coolant again and tomorrow I'm gonna take it to Royal garage or maybe to Sharjah depending on how much I will spend. I googled the issues and it is supposed to be a minor fixes (changing the coolant tank - changing supercharger cooling pump - AUX oil pump - Valvoline injector cleaning - and cleaning the MAF sensor) I hope I can clear these issues ASAP

you should post more content of this RR.
Yes he should!
Sounds unbelievable
Very good video full of information loved liked and subscribe with you good luck
What you put for him "h" pipe or "x" pipe
Love the sound of this car. How can I get the muffler delete?
Just remove the mufflers and replace with a straight pipe, any welders or local garage should be able to do it

2.7 Diesel would be hard to make sounds like this, right?
as long as its a v8, it should be similar.
