Ah it takes a lot of willpower knowing I have all the power tools to do the same job 🤣 but then once it's done it's so satisfying knowing it was done by hand, also...there is alot less dust to clean up!
Interesting that you made the tenons first. Seems that most others chop the mortise first then the tenon since it is much easier to fit the tenon to the mortise. I like the method using the shooting board to set the angled end of the rail, ingenious.
I agree!! I do the tenons first if I'm sure about the mortice size - I've had the shooting board for a couple of years now and still find new ways to use it to make life easier
I like your tool wall with all the tools and your workbench. Hey when you make a shooting board do you put masking tape on your shooting board like rob cosman does ,rob said hand planes work square do it this way.
Thanks so much! Yup, I did the tape trick like he does - makes a slight convex curve on the base to ensure the plane runs on a flat surface the entire length of the shooting board.
