We need short math video lessons!!! I check curriculum out with my kids after checking it out!!! I had a homeschool friend who refused to do certain subjects and he ended up with a tutor and I’ve treated it but I know my kids will fight for independence!!! I love that they give the option for an extension!! We don’t get things done in time as well!!! 2 student workbooks is a good idea!!! My kids have a math cheat book each that I’ve made for them with the cheat sheets from curriculums and we add to them as needed!!!
Thank you for this video! What do you think about this curriculum for kids who are strong or advanced in math, but just want to get it done? In your professional teacher opinion, is it enough?
In my personal opinion, yes. It is sufficient. The regular level still covers everything any algebra course would cover. It's just simplified and to the point. It shows less of the why and follows more of a "formula to get to the answer" kind of method. In terms of my professional teacher opinion, I think this course would be more than adequate to prepare a student for a Chemistry course. Hope that helps!
Do you have links to all the places where you got recommendations of alternative math curriculum providers? I want to see if I can find any other gems besides Denison. Thanks.
I don't necessarily that links, but I can tell you all the ones we have tried and the ones I've heard about. We've tried: Math-U-See, Math with Confidence, Teaching Textbooks, CTC Math, Khan Academy, Nicole the Math Lady (with Saxon - I do not recommend Saxson, but we loved Nicole), Beast Academy I've heard of: Mr. D Math, Thinkwell Math, Dimensions Math, Math Mammoth, Right Start Math That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. Hope that helps!
I do not like that you can’t get a separate workbook/consumables only. I have twins. 😏 but I’ve heard enough good things about it that I’m sure I’ll do it anyways but definitely wish they’d have like an additional student package.
Absolutely agree!! This is our second year using Denison math.
Glad to hear it is still working for you guys! Thanks for sharing!
YES!!!! Can not praise this enough!
Right! So amazing!
Our Denison PreAlgebra was delivered 5 minutes into watching this video😂
Crazy town!! I hope you guys love it as much as we do!

Oooohh I like the idea of a "cheat book". Could be usefully for many subjects! Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
I just edited my Denison video today 😂😂 I will be posting about pre Algebra soon!
Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

This a unique situation. I wonder if you messaged them if they could work something out for you? Might be work a shot.
