I honestly don't get it, these videos are so high quality and get released multiple times a month, yet this channel still only has 2.4k. Keep up the amazing work!
I’m out of breath just listening to you! It’s like an early 1900’s noir crime story theme! It helped if I just listened and didn’t watch. Otherwise I couldn’t follow along. Nicely done video regardless :)
A final last touch would be to use the keyboard from the synth you pulled up. Some advanced synths with nice keys have midi destination settings, allowing notes and mod wheel/pitch/pedal to “external”, thereby muting the synth from playing. But that external midi will get recorded in the pyramid. From there, send it out of B like you had it, and set the synths midi port to external... and boom... now you can even program the hi hats with increased dynamics quickly, using the large keyboard midi from the synth.
after the red record button is armed, how can the recording be started remotely by simply at the first note pressed on the external midi-keyboard (instead of separately pressing the start button on the Pyramid)?
I have a Synthstrom Deluge which I have used in a similar manner to sequence other devices. Does the Pyramid offer any additional sequencing features that the Deluge does not?
Hey, good question. I think the Deluge is a very capable sequencer and I wouldn't get rid of it. Its very different than the Pyramid and each has its strengths. It may depend on your workflow what works best for you. The Pyramid has a nice interface and its pretty intuitive to use. I hope that helps.
The Pyramid's biggest, unique features are the stackable MIDI effects. Combined with the assignable controllers these allow infinite combinations for crazy generative sequences and real-time control of compositions : squarp.net/modefx
Hey man, I love the idea of this device but only have one synth (Nord stage 3) and drum machine (Roland tr8s). As this device records midi data only, surely this would limit me to only one custom patch on my Nord and Tr8s? Because if I change sounds etc on my synth this would effect the other recorded midi data right? I want one but feel like it's too early if it can only sequence one patch at a time.
Hey, the Pyramid can send MIDI CC messages to devices to switch programs and banks so it’s not a limitation of the Pyramid. I’m not 100% certain, but I would assume that the Nord and Roland can receive those messages to allow preset changes. I would just double check their manuals. But I would assume it’s likely given the high end nature of those devices. I hope that helps.
😂😂😂 ok this was fun. I just sent this link to my buddy with this message...........When you go to bed, turn out the lights (clap off) holding your phone press play on this link. You will understand the genius of this devise but only in the dark (alone). After watching 2.1 min you WILL come to realize the reason I have sent you this video. You have been CHOSEN. You WILL sleep with dreams of sugar synths dancing above your conscious "WTF" just happened sense of midi ignorance bliss (until now). This audio tape video message will unwind itself all over your floor with the sound on "son of a fucking bitch!" as you grab a pencil in hopes to rewind this video to send it as a text message to your buddy.

i want one! been eye ballin' one for a minute
Pretty cool device. I'd recommend checking it out if you want a standalone sequencer.
@@OllieLoops you sold me on the micro-timing editing & being able to turn quantize off. yeet!
@@ruffiankick Yeah, you can get some nice swing and feel with it, as loose and rigid as you want.

I like your way of production. Narration reminds me Max Payne or something of that kind.
Thanks!
