The victim and his brother were stealing outlaw gangs bikes and crating them and drugs then sending to NZ. They were also in protection while doing all this crime. What could go wrong. The problem was they took a nark in one of the clubs bike. So a nark and a cpl of guys in protection from WA to Qld, my question is ‘where were the Authorities and why didn’t they have a close eye on their ppl in protection’? Why did the qld police nark take the club he infiltrated into this whole debacle and he stood there while the guy was getting baseball batted by the guy who did the deed. The rest of the club at that time where in the house? This nark is on Facebook under his real name and did no time to speak of. So much needs to be held to account by the Authorities who stood by and did nothing.
I've watched a bunch of these shows now and I am surprised at the short sentences given out. Life only means 20 years? What a joke. And don't they have the legal concept of Felony Murder in Australia? (When someone dies during the commission of a crime, everyone taking part can be charged with murder.)
No we don’t have felony murder for any accomplice involved as such. How ever they do often go through a trial together and the sentence varies for each person involved, depending on their action. We do have “never to be released” that has been deemed as cruel and taking all hope of release, so it’s morphed into longer sentences, that ultimately get reduced etc by at least a third for good behaviour, but if your sentence is 80 years, the chances of you being alive long enough to get out are slim. As we also have no death penalty, appeals don’t go on and on for 15 years with multiple attempts at appeal that cost millions of dollars per criminal.
We don't have misdemeanour or felony types of laws. And aren't they releasing criminals left right and centre in America? Especially for let's say darker skinned criminals?
It doesn't seem like either the victims or the gang members gave any thought to the possible consequences of their actions. And all over some bike parts!
As a runaway from physical and sexual abuse at 12 luckily I met some other good kids that were game enough steal food we slept on beaches in Sydney I was from a bush town and very nieve We'd see bikie gangs around Liverpool and the Cross I got the bright idea of joining I called a girl over that was with them asked how do you join she said the initiation was to sleep with all members do whatever they want you to and once your in you don't get out and everyone is sworn to secrecy I thought it may be like a family and they would protect me but if she was trying to scare me it worked I didn't join

Don’t they actually try to rehabilitate prisoners there though? We have long terms in the US but the criminals pump iron the whole time and come out twice as dangerous. I always see people complain about Norway’s cushy prisons but they seem to rehabilitate the prisoner’s and have a lower recidivism rate than we do in US. So I kind of think maybe long sentences don’t actually work like we think they do because most violent criminals will get out eventually. Don’t get me wrong sometimes we should execute prisoners or throw away the key it’s just not always the best strategy by our crime numbers:)
@@alexburke1899 I think it's pretty much like your prisons, educate yourself if you want to, counselling if you want, work out if you want (which I can imagine has the largest enrolment) and compulsory work duties. We have our whole life tariff but I've heard of people in jail longer for armed robberies and attempted murder than actually killing someone here; average 12 years for murder here in 90s maybe a bit longer now. It seems if we are going to release predators they should have to be assessed before release and not just given a release date. If they don’t want to do the work to get treatment they should stay in prison. The way it’s set up now they just know they’ll get out in 5 years for a rape and don’t seek any treatment, then they do it again or even murder too because they don’t want to go back to prison for slightly longer. I think we also use prisons as mental hospitals since they closed most of those in the 80’s, but they don’t provide those services in prison if any. So the prisons are overwhelmed with crazy people and weed dealers when if they could just focus on violent offenders it would probably work better and they’d have the money to reallocate to rehabilitation.

I've watched many docos on Scandinavian prisons and justice system, and Artic Circle (Greenland, Iceland; especially in isolated areas), very different from ours but very interesting comparisons. Look at Portugal and the massive turn around in crime since decriminalisation of drug addicts and users and legalisation of substances. I just watched a video about a 17 yo who disappeared two days after being at the police station to report being kidnapped, strangled, and threatened with a knife by her ex boyfriend, police not only didn't arrest him, they called her a runaway and refused to to anything more than ask the man his whereabouts, he lied but they never checked alibi, nor the cctv in a store where she'd been seen. 10 yrs later he murdered another woman in another town, they investigated and when they found her remains, they found the first victim de place. I don't understand how they get away with no doing their job either

Depends on the country, in a few countries a full life sentence isn’t constitutional, like Canada or with juveniles in the US. There’s good behavior credit they can accumulate and they can even work in prison shop industries for reduced time. I always felt like prison work industries are basically like slavery because companies actually make money off the incarcerated and the state gives them free labor. There’s also overcrowding that sometimes gets people released early. Only the most hardcore criminals seem to serve their full terms and many seem to make parole before the full minimum sentence because of good behavior or work credits. A lot of times nobody is around to keep showing up to the parole hearings from the family or prosecution after 20-25 years, or they get tired of traveling to and attending the parole hearings every 2-3 years and reliving the crime. So without someone advocating they should stay locked up like the prosecutor or victim’s family, the convict can produce only witnesses that say they should be released.

I've watched several videos concerning assault cases in the UK & Australia that involved baseball bats. My question is, why not a cricket bat? 🤔 I figured it would be more likely that homes in the UK & Oz would have cricket rather than baseball bats. I've been wondering about something, & hope there are some Brits or Aussies out there that can satisfy my curiosity. I've watched several videos concerning assault cases in the UK & Australia that involved baseball bats. My question is, why not a cricket bat? 🤔 I figured it would be more likely that homes in the UK & Oz would have cricket rather than baseball bats. Or is baseball now a big thing in both places? 😄 One thing i thought of is that, as a weapon, baseball bats are better somehow & people have them for that reason, not to play with. Would love to hear anyone's opinion.

When I was 16 i with others ripped of marijuana plats from a bikie, a coffin cheater to be precise .I survived ,2 rooms of the house I was living in didn’t .Was pretty scary time & I had to go into hiding for a while .Wouldn’t do it again
