Love your photography. So many people don't realize that California has so much to offer outside the big cities. Hope you can come back to Northern California to the Lassen and Shasta area. Take care.
I saw my first and only scorpion at Mono Lake during a quick, off-season road trip long ago. It's nice to see a new video from you, and thanks for taking be back to the area to relive those memories.
Good to see a full video -- wonderful to see your explorations. I also like your short videos as well. Thing about grad school if you have not done so already. Enjoy.
very happy to see you posting again. this was such a visually beautiful and well constructed video that was super informative as well. hope to see more from you!
Very brave to go out there all alone. I'm also from upstate NY( finger lakes) and an upcoming geologist and rock lover. The glacial movement in the lakes area makes the whole area an geological wonder(in my opinion.). People just like to keep it on the down low haha. But I can see you got some awesome passion. Really suggest doing a little digging into the localized geology. its quite impressive. Would love to see a video up in the area haha. Thanks for the awesome content. +1 Sub :)
Fabulous video as always - good production value :). Been up and down Owens Valley many times so good to see it all through someone else's eyes. Same hotels and restaurants. Becky always brings a lot to the table with her knowledge, insights and fun videos.
This 82-year-old just learning about Geology when you are sitting on the rock are you sitting on sand. Sometime geologists say this rock was brought her the last ice age XXXX years ago but no dirt or dust nothing on it. Looks hard so it could not be made a little while ago. How long does a bolder get a gray color
Great video - pretty scenery and great educational content. As you drive north on 395 you have the highest place in the continental US on your left, and the lowest on your right. Pretty amazing trip that I used to take as often as possible Thanks for stimulating my memory lobes.
It could have been something like the Adirondacks rises 12 inches my 100 years that is what my forestry school taught me. you said there was an ocean there at one time. That made the stone arc. When you get back home and see all the sand piles getting to put on the road. Do you think another volcano close by a look time ago could put red sand their before and now it is red sandstone like they have around Potsdam ny
Did you enjoy seeing the marine rocks just north of LA (Hollywood Hills, Channel Islands) that used to be off the coast of San Diego and Orange County, moved north and rotated about 90°?
This was great! You're really good at explaining pretty complex geology in a clear to understand way! It looks so peaceful there.
Glad to see other Geology passionate people
So wholesome it warms my heart. Thank you Geo Beck.
That was great, Becky! Really enjoyed seeing a longer vlog - thanks! 😊

Seeing my home through your eyes is a wonderful reminder of how lucky all of us Eastern Sierra residents are. It really is a magical place.
Love your videos. That looked like a great trip. Thank you.
So much to see, The Buttermilks would have been nice to hear your explanation, maybe next time.
If I had a Daughter I would want her to be like you. Thanks for this wonderful video.

395 is the most underrated road trip in the US.

So cool! The Bristlecone forest overlooks one of my projects just across the border in Nevada. I want to go there one of these days.
