The religious theme is at the heart of Riccardo Tisci's work and coexists with an equally intense erotic power. In this collection, the two souls --creatively obsessive -- of his "demons" coalesce surprisingly lightly. A designer with an incredible expressive talent, Tisci distils an image of beauty into its core elements of purity and austerity which is mellowed by the use of a light, serene and vivid chromatic palette. Duality doesn't disappear but asserts its presence in the coexistence, during the show, of sacred music -- played at the organ by Michel Lecomte imprisoned in an architectural wooden cage -- and techno music mixed by Berlin-based DJs Discodromo enclosed in a Mylar cube evoking a futuristic Ka'ba. Angels and devils, sacred and profane, nuns and concubines: Riccardo's universe is a theatre of opposites, one that is deep, modern and complex. (from Vogue)

by far my favorite collection this season. Quite skeptical in the beginning. Something eerie and spooky about it.
Raf Simons and Valentino are doing it so much better.

Adagio - Tomaso Albinioni
Love the tunics, the assymetry, the slim pants, et al. As much as I enjoyed Givenchy's spring show, I can't say I'm at all excited about this spring in fashion overall. It's just so morose, on the whole. Not light. Not springlike. I wonder if I shouldn't just throw on a nun's robe and wait the whole sad mess out.
Some of the models really need to improve on their walks. Really like the clothes though!
