- The long awaited Mercedes AMG Project ONE, now renamed the Mercedes AMG ONE. What a hypercar ! The Mercedes AMG ONE really is a F1 street legal hypercar. It’s insane!
I was invited by Mercedes AMG to the Owner’s first drive briefing in Germany to drive the AMG ONE on track, an invitation I could not refuse!
We were first given a Mercedes AMG GTR to drive on track, then the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series and lastly we were given the Mercedes AMG ONE to drive. It was incredible to feel the difference between these 3 cars, the AMG ONE goes so much faster round the bends compared to the AMG GT Black Series which is an already an awesome track car.
We were also given passenger rides around the track with a race driver, I have had passenger rides in the McLaren Senna with a race driver around track but the AMG ONE felt much, much faster. I was blown away with this F1 street legal hypercar, there is nothing on the market like this. To be able to have a F1 driving experience and also be able to drive on normal roads is crazy. This is a once in a lifetime project, which will not be repeated in my opinion by any manufacturer again.

@@itsmeayansheikh On the inside its louder bc the engine is mounted to the monocoque where you sit in. That means the sound is transfered directly into the cabin.

It sounds much better than i expected but the gear changes seem very slow
I'm assuming they opted for a more reliable one as replacing it would be quite hard and hoped the electric power would fill in during changes

@@MARCO-rq2ph I think this car is more about a display of technology and the fact it has an f1 engine in rather than speed. It's like me saying for less than an sf90 I can get a tesla that is faster but who tf cares

Yes but they removed them because of the embargo that there is about the driving of the vehicle. I managed to record a few seconds

I'm surprised at the number of people that are taking AMGs acceleration times to hear it's obvious it's figures are massively understated
It's a race car for the road😀👍, in the comments lots of people are saying about the sf90 and its faster in a straight line which probably is, but I bet the drama and ingaugment from the amg one is next level , speed it not everything with out feel look at ev's.

May not be the prettiest engine bay or the best power to weight ratio, but who else is running f1 engines in their road cars? Fast cars are everywhere now, even the cheaper ferraris are nearing 1000 bhp, so I'd rather have this and drive an actual F1 engine, something that not many people experience.

Damn it may have sounded underwhelming at the nurburgring on the outside but at least it sounds great on the inside.
The gear ratios are surprisingly long. 3rd gear is almost as long as 4th gear in the LaFerrari. This could accelerate faster with shorter gearing.
sounds incredible. is this a car that's gonna be breaking lap-records or is it gonna be like koenigseggs or other similar hypercars with not much to offer in terms of laptimes? because as far as I know it is pretty heavy. but it also has some crazy aero.
Track focused car. They are going to try and break the nurburgring record again and beat porsche gt2 RS. AMG cars are always built for a purpose and the AMG One is definitely for the track.
Koenigsegg it not bad on track lol if they didn’t do any significant la time on Nurburgring it’s because they crashed but from what they calculated it would have done under 7 min

Sounds amazing, but jury is out as to whether it is the car it was sold as. Can understand why you have kept your order in Rana. Wish they could have done something with the wheel airbag 😆

Because you weren't in the car? This car's exhaust is so muffled to meet emissions. The only way you'll really hear it is by driving it because you'll get all the intake noise
@@Shadowboost maybe you are right. Though the Valkyrie and jesko sound great. AMG is known to artificially pipe sound into the cabin through the speakers too.

It's anti lag button and reduces aero drag to speed up the vehicle I believe when passing other cars.
