    I've never heard so much perfect version. Almost original. A true Enigma fan can do such a great remake. There is one another I heard few months back. But yours is more tends to original. Good catch. It's my dream to build that also. I'm around 40% of it. Respect from me.

    Every time I listen to this song, it takes me back to 2008, when I was 4 years old. My father used to turn it on a lot.

    This is the one. Out of all the attempts and various covers on RUclips, this is the one. Even a hard fan would struggle to realise that its not the original. If you did not put the beginning parts showing individual instruments and how you layered it, people would not believe it. Masterful and incredible work. You surely deserve more subscribers. Respect

    Fantastic job! Best Sadeness remake I've ever heard. I've always thought the track used only a sample of Soul II Soul for the drums with some reverb on top, yet you layer additional samples for the kick and the snare at around 0:40. And it sounds just like it should. What is the source of those additional samples? Did you process that snare yourself to get that "slap" effect? Cheers

    Almost indiscernable from the original. Very good effort, and really shows what can be done with the correct approach.

    Доброе время суток! Спасибо за ролик! Я так понял, пакет Drum Rack не системный(не Ableton). В библиотеке Ableton я их не нашёл, по крайней мере с такими же именами. Подскажите пожалуйста , где их можно скачать?

    Colleague, this is a wonderful remake.As a fan of Enigma, I can say that it was done very cool.The functionality was in the form of a sample from me, I also did experiments.The original chorales were on the disc of the Munich Choir like 78 or 76, from where Cretu himself took them when he wrote that album.In general, it's super!

    Awesome pads, they are even as original as in the CD version.
    In the digital version they are quieter and less stereo spread.
    But I'm actually here because of the drum set, it really comes close, very well done! 👌
    Possibly dumb question, but how do you get that special groove?
    Is it just the slight delay of every second hihat or what is the secret?
    Likewise, I don't see where the second hihats/shakers come from, which are a bit more on the left (similar to the original)
    You can only hear it when you play your drum set as a whole.
    I am very happy to receive feedback Mate ;-*

    • @Akidna
      @Akidna 2 года назад +2

      Its just a closed Hi Hat with a Open Hat delay of the second snare, the whole drum line has a 16th step to it with a swing of 30 to 60 depending on what daw or device your using as a sequencer. this track is very simple to recreate if you have skills in the piano range or the original midi file.

    Such a great cover. How did you get the shakuhachi flute sample to sound so organic with sampler, or did you use a vst?

    • @unAbleton
      @unAbleton  2 года назад +5

      Thank you! The Shakuhachi directly sampled from the original E-Mu Emulator II hardware and I applied some VST effects like reverb and saturation on it.

  • @release_official
    @release_official Год назад +1

    Could you tell me, which presets did you use as pads? Sounds like the original track :)

    • @unAbleton
      @unAbleton  Год назад +2

      For the main pads I've used Nexus3's 'PD Ambient Pad 3', Omnisphere's 'Wall Street Streams' from Atmoshpere library
      and Roland Zenology's 'Cosmic'. I've made some modifications on the presets but this should get you started.

    my favourite part is definitely the drums instrumental with the James brown's funky president sample that starts the beat...pure 90's melody

  • @ronnybehncke2453
    @ronnybehncke2453 2 года назад +1

    What is this sampleBreak by 0:42 - 0:43 in reoriginal???
    Resampled made by Enigma ...

    • @unAbleton
      @unAbleton  2 года назад

      The drum break at 0:42 - 0:43 is from James Brown's Funky President (People It's Bad) ruclips.net/video/C_trsH1QMBw/видео.html
      It's resampled, pitched, processed with EQ, compression and OTT + delay and reverb. I'm pretty sure that Cretu used the same sample from that track while making Sadeness.

      @@unAbleton I did a remake of this a few years ago. I think I got to 70% (I also used the original vocal and the shakuhachi sample). But yours is better, I think 90 percent. Again really well done! I'm going to buy your project I think, because this is one of my favorite songs from that time.
