I think Matt chose the right spot for the spices. Get yourself two double-decker lazy susans. Put the cooking spices on a lazy susan on the bottom shelf and the baking spices (which tend to be used less often) on a lazy susan on the middle shelf. You may need to raise the middle shelf so the bottles fit. Leave the top shelf empty or put taller bottles up there. Turn the labels toward the outside of the lazy susan and store them in roughly alphabetical order, and you will be able to locate them easily.
Sounds like very satisfying results 👏🏻👍🏻😉!
Spices hung up on the inside of pantry doors. Fix the doors so they are easy to open & close xx
Put spices on rear of pantry door, they won’t be too heavy and you can re-label on side of containers
You lost me at Amazon. People please STOP supporting these guys. They're terrible to their employees. They've put ALL small business as subjected to them. And their WIFI is literally killing ALL the birds. 😢
The cabinet that your husband picked out or the drawer under that with the oven mitts would be perfect places for your spices. I mostly use spices when I’m cooking on the stovetop or when I’m prepping something to bake in the oven, so nearest to the stove/oven make the most sense.
Pantry looks amazing. The only thing is I cut the expiry dates of the packages and tapes them on the bottom. Sometimes I have to do the same for the cooking times on the noodles. And my rice is also labeled because I buy different kinds of rice all the time. Aside from that it was a gorgeous looking pantry. Your baby is so pretty. As far as your spices your husband is right they belong right by the stove.
He chose the perfect spot for the spices - right next to the stove where you use them, and I like the lazy susans. It’s what we did with ours and it works really well. Also, keep your cook happy girl!😅😂🤣
Spices are more accessible and ready to use next to the stove, either the cabinet where your husband wants or even the drawer with the oven mitts. Maybe even both since you have quite a few spices. You can always try there and if it doesn’t work move them back. 😊
Your Moms pantry looks so nice, I bet she appreciates you helping her to get it at a place where it’s much more useable and accessible. ❤
I don't know what it is about your videos, but they are seriously addictive! You're a very hard worker!
I like spices close to hand. So, to the right of the stove is a great, logical spot for them. I have mine to the right and left of my stove. Cabinet doors open away from the stove on both sides and I keep most used on one side and then less used on other side. Lazy Suzan’s on second shelf on both sides. One for vinegars and the other for oils. It would make me crazy to have to get them from the pantry. You did a great job on your moms pantry. All three of you ladies look so beautiful together too.
I would put spices to the right of the stove due to how the cabinet opens. I want them close by and easy to grab. I use a stair spice rack and keep the original packaging
I was told by my dad who did a lot of baking and cooking that u shouldn’t store ur spices near the stove cuz the heat can make the spices lose their strength. I organized my daughters mother in laws pantry. We threw stuff away dated back to 2013. This was done about 5 months ago.
Get the magnetic little containers and put your spices on the left side of the refrigerator. I love mine there, so handy!
i hate the putting things into clear containers. nothing is labeled. you have no expiration dates. no nutritional info or ingredients list for allergies, and if there's a recall you have no idea if you have that product or not. new cereal gets tossed on top of the old cereal which just gets older. its a trend i hope goes away.
I would highly recommend the spice drawer, with the small clear spice jars that you have. I would put the larger spices, as well as cooking oils, on lazy susans, in the cabinet that your husband wants, with the spice drawer right under them. I find this very easy to find what I need!
I have to agree with Matt about where to put the spices. Close to the fridge and easy to access while cooking.
They have a spice rack that is like a step and accordion so you can lower the spices to slide down and out.

I suggest you move the dishes to the upper cabinet to the left of your sink and put your spices (on a lazy Susan), cooking oil, flour etc. on the lower two shelves. Add least used appliances above that. Move the vodka to the top shelf in the pantry and cleaning supplies where the vodka is. Great video!
There's actually an over the door spice rack that I got on Amazon. I have one on my pantry door and makes it easier to get when I'm cooking. It saves the pantry counter space and also the space in the cabinets next to the stove. 😁
I love mine!
Ok; I would make a nice spice drawer where the oven mittens are but you also need a lazy susan on the lower shelf of Matt´s preferred cabinet. If needed; some nice looking magnet thing on the fridge. That way you have a nice spice area on the right hand of the stove, a little spice hub.
You need to pick one place to put your cleaning supplies, you should never store liquid cleaning supplies with food items. You should have a designated cupboard for only cleaning supplies and always store the liquids on the bottom shelves. That's from a safety standpoint
I agree with Matt😊 I have mine on 2 small Rubbermaid turntables in alphabetical order🤣
You could get one of those magnetic storage containers, that attach to the side of your refrigerator. 🙂🙋♀️
How do you know when things have expired now they are not in the packaging? ❤
I enjoyed the video, just wish I had a pantry
Great.... now I have to do my pantry.
Great video! Gives me inspiration and ideas to organize my pantry! My work truck was completely organized and labeled down to the nuts and bolts, but my pantry on the other hand is... chaos... lol.
Great 👍 video Gabbi !!
Loved 🥰 you yr mum and yr daughter. 3 generations 😻😻😻
Liked the pantry clean up
I put our glad wrap alfoil and plastic begs in kitchen drawers saves room
Lazy Susan for spice 🌶 and I’d put the air fryer on the floor shelf of pantry also the protein big container if yr having it every day
Enjoyed this very much
Thanks Gabbi
Cheers 🥂
Have a good week

I use the same cabinet that your husband wants for spices and I have those step looking shelves to put my spices on and it works out great.
I like the idea of using clear containers for my food but then thought that you now don’t know when they expire.
Just write the date on the back with a non permanent sharpie. 🌹
I have my spices in a drawer , I can pull them out and see them easily. Alternatively they have pull out shelves for cabinets that drop down. You could also hang things like gloves and oven mitts on the doors of your pantry. My pantry has a pocket door so I lack the extra space.
People, PLEASE stop throwing out usable food! Expiration dates are mostly arbitrary. Look it up!
If you put the spices over your oven, they can start to clumb because of the humidity from cooking. How about a drawer? There are multiple organization shelves for drawers specifically for the spices on the internet.
As a shorter person of 5ft 4inches, no matter where I lived, I put the spices in the cupboards above the stove and I do have to go on my tippy toes, but it helps that I have two double layer Lazy Susan’s to spin the spices around to reach the one I need. The cupboards above the stove are wider and are able to house the double layer Lazy Susan, whereas, the cupboard to the right may be too narrow and not high enough. You could keep more commonly used spices to the right of the stove cupboard, which are probably just a handful and also your oils.
I wish I had a large drawer to the left of the stove where you have your utensils, because I would definitely put my spices there. I keep all of my cooking utensils in a large ceramic crockery type container on the counter right next to the stove to use as I’m cooking. Smaller items, such as, can opener, peeler, corn cob holders, rubber spatulas, etc… could go in a narrower drawer wherever you have room in your kitchen. It was suggested somewhere, that the person who does the most cooking, gets to decide where things go, Lol. ❤❤❤
Great content!
To spice question...since you said you don't have many, can you put a spice rack or two somewhere under your cabinets, on the backsplash?
You have roommates over those jars for hanging shelf basket. You can lay spices with cap facing out and quickly grab what you need
There are no “expired” dates on food. Only “use by” or “best by” dates in the US. Canned or preserved food is edible beyond the date stamped on cans/boxes. The quality may be affected.
Killer job Gabbi 🤟🏻😎🤟🏻
YOU ROCK!
Big up from Italy
Big improvement on the pantry!
Matt has the right idea for the spices. You could lay them down so the lids face you.
I got racks on the wall. If I can’t see them I won’t use them or replace them. But I had ample wall space with an end cupboard for the wall oven. I have those step shelves but they are useless if the spices got put back facing backwards and any old where. Tbh so are the wall racks if everything is random with labels facing the wall.
It's hilariously funny how you called that nice big pantry a "small space" hahahaha lollllzzzzzzzz
Inside your pantry door. That's where I keep many of mine. The rack screws into the door. I slam my door regularly when I'm in a hurry. It doesn't fall off.
My cabinent situation is similar to yours. I put my spices in a bin in the cabinet next to the microwave like where Matt wants to put them. This allows me to pull the whole lot out and look at it, especially helpful if you ahve them labled on top.
That cabinet Mat requested would be ok. You could put the sideways so that you see the labels easily. Consider organizer where each spice bottle has own compartment so taking out and putting back the bottle is easy.
I,love the pantry- I bought 5he same containers (the 24 pack) and I love them too
You should cut the little piece with the expiration date of the product and stick with Durex in the botton of the new container OR you will loose this information. That's what I do.
Some wire magazine/file holders on that side wall in front of the shelves would organize the rolls of foil, wrap, baggies. It would clear a lot of shelf space.
I love a good pantry organization! 💖
I used to go into my friends homes and organize their pantries. Yea, I'm an organizing nut. If you still want to keep the spices in the pantry, how about find a storage thingy? I also agree with the lazy susan idea.
I’d leave the spices where they are but I would move the cleaning supplies to another location. Just incase if something falls or leaks it won’t get on the spices.
Have you considered putting spice racks on the inside of your pantry doors? I am looking forward to seeing your next video.
New organizers like those containers for products but then u don't know exp date later on...
Do what's best for you and how you cook, organize, and why makes you comfortable.
Do a spice drawer honestly it’s the greatest thing I ever did do the big drawer Condense your utensils to the smaller drawer and maybe hang your oven gloves and reusable bags somewhere else and yes it’s crazy your using up prime space in your pantry on spices
Still watching.. you should use the door of the pantry for spices . They sell a rack to put the spices on the inside of the pantry doors.
I think the spices should go in the cupboard that Matt is saying. Especially if he's the one that cooks the most. Or a drawer near that same area if they can stand up.
Back of the pantry doors. They make shelves for that exact application.
In your kitchen, I would put a few more things away that are on the counter. If he cooks, wherever he wants the spices! Lol
Check the Jif and make sure it wasn’t recalled. Good job.
If you have a Dollar tree nearby you can get a lot of storage containers inexpensively there.
I use a lot of storage containers for things that we use all the time. For other supplies that aren't used as often I put the package in the container leaving the expiration codes on them.
I am late the party here since you showed up in my feed today. I actually keep the spices I use the most next to the stove just like your husband wants. The ones I don't use that often are in the pantry.
I bought the same storage containers from Amazon. I love them. 🙂
I prefer my spices by the stove. I have my baking spices by my mixer.
Matt is right spices go in cupboard right of the stove for easy access while cooking.
Make a spice wall on the pantry door. Also the door latch should be adjustable to make it a little easier to open/close
That's great job on this God bless you 🙏❤️ and your mom
Loooved watching this. Well done!! 👏👏
Great videos! Try hanging your spices on your inside pantry doors.
Matt’s right in my mind it seems like a perfect cupboard
Never seen that thing that holds the paper towels before. Neat!
How about the cabinet where u have ur mittens in get one of the Amazon rack for spices
So glad you moved that shelf, it was affecting my ocd xx
ive always kept my spices in an upper cabinet near the stove. i think matt chose the right place
The pantry looks amazing, I’m sure your mom was very grateful.❤
You can use standing file holders for your foil and other wraps as a holder for them
Are you putting the directions on the bottom of the container?
Expiration dates are made up by manufacturer - most food is good for years after date
Expiration dates are made up by manufacturer - most food is good for years after date
Place them on their side in the narrow cabinet so the lids point toward you.
We put ours on the inside of the pantry door. We hung a rack and lined them up on that.
Gabby, they make rack you can hang on the doors of you panty doors
If you are here in Phoenix, would you like to do a declutter at my house?
정리를 위해 꼭 저렇게 많은 플라스틱 통을 사야만 하는가? 뭔가 비효율적인듯
I would choose to have spices by the stove where you said Matt wants it.
Easy access is by the stove and cooking counter.
The screaming kid is like a visit to walmart.
Glass, not plastic, is the way to go for food storage 😀.
Close to the stove where they are needed and easily accessable
I think the cabinet is the best place for the spices
Do you have room on the inside of the pantry doors?
Great job
A magnetic spice rack for the fridge
I agree with Matt, and use a lazy susan for the spice bottles. Baking spices could be put in a clear bin, and used like a drawer for higher shelves or in the pantry.
Your mom's pantry looks great. My only suggestion is to use lazy susans in the corners for small, round items (hot sauces, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, etc). That keeps things from piling up in front of each other in the corners.
Lots of work. Nice job!
thats a great idea for the corners! ill tell my mom about it and see what she thinks!
Приятно смотреть как вы с мамой организовали все
I have a magnetic shelf on the back of my range and there are also magnetic shelves that will stick to the side of the fridge (both on Amazon). Put the most used on those and the rest inside the upper cabinet. Lazy Susan with sides for the oils/vinegars.
thats so cool! i didnt know they made magnetic shelves! i totally want to try that!
I would put to the right of your stove.
Lol you just mentioned it 😂😂
New viewer here from Australia so catching up on your videos and loving them.
I am not a fan of taking things out of their boxes and putting them into containers. I know they look nicer than packets but you are losing the use by dates on all those products.
totally agree, its just an extra step that im not very good about keeping up with!
On the inside of the pantry door
For sure put the spices by the stove.
The drawer would be perfect
