HOME SWEET HOME.... NICE VIDEO... I HAVE BEEN A RAILFAN ALL OF MY LIFE FROM MY DAYS IN CHICAGO, USED TO WONDER WHY THE HELL PEOPLE WERE OUT AT 18, 12, DIFFERENT PLACES WITH CAMERAS TAKING PICS OF TRAINS... WELL, THEY WERE RAILFANS, MY BIGGEST FANS, THANKS FOR DOING WHAT I COULDNT AFFORD TO DO BACK IN THE DAY, THIS STUFF IS AWESOME...
What is the frequencies over here lol. I never could get anything and there is always a lot of CN since this is there line. You may have caught the Saluki and New Orleans Amtrak..GOOD CATCHES!
@skinnyshit8888 Me too. I guess they are saving money for other projects like adding more Metra routes on other rail lines. Metra Electric is also adding new passenger cars on the Metra Electric lines
@quimbyt Most likely a cat or a possum. My grandmother lives on this block and basically there are a lot of stray cats and possums everywhere. When I went railfanning I saw a possum get run over. I have it on my railfanning video.
@quimbyt Yeah as I look at it more I see it was a fox! Yeah we don't really see a lot of foxes here in the city. WOW When I go up to the tracks I need to make sure they don't attack me lol.

BoxcarFrank, this video is awesome! I's almost like you're there when you're in full screeen.

@buddybuddy0920 I think it is used to hold salt for melting ice and snow off the plateforms.
any horn from the metra trains?
@Jabbajawz4life most shots were at 107th Street Station and the last few were at Kensington Junction/115th Street.
OK, so what was the string of HL's parked on the Libertyville siding of the Fox Lake branch for, y'suppose?
Yeah bro, I use to ride the South shore at 115th all the time out to South Bend, now i gotta get on at Hegswich
Yeah..I heard there gettingnews ones with bathrooms in them

I would love to see more lines in chicago electrified. Which one would most likely be electrified?
Nice video! I probably saw one of the last sets of the old Metra/IC cars running in 2014! Does anyone know what type of horn they had?
6:19 -- It's messed up that South Shore Trains no longer stop at Kensington 115th anymore. That was a bad move. :-(
omg! your profile pic is of the 2200 series doors!
What street was this at? I railfan at 83rd.
Hey frank,ever railfanned at Calumet?
@BoxcarFrank Wow right next to my g-ma and g-pa. When did you film these?
@moonoink It's very rare for them to. But if you ask they sometimes will.
@quimbyt Most likely a cat or a possum. My grandmother lives on this block and basically there are a lot of stray cats and possums everywhere. When I went railfanning I saw a possum get run over. I have it on my railfanning video.
5:43 is that a turkey crossing the line?
I'd love to see ALP-45DP's on the Chicago Electric so they can extend service
That was so un-BoxcarFrank like. Hmm... Interesting change.
Metra Electric radio frequency is 161.025
@quimbyt lol I think the fox is nosy too lol.
