Nonsense, clickbait title. Saying "killed his career" is complete disrespect and shows a lack of football understanding.
Van Dijk is *still* elite and there is not a better CB in the world right now. Is he at his 2019 peak? No, as that was a level above anything we've ever seen (and the team as a whole was flying at that time).
However, 17 months ago he was two games away from winning a quadruple with Liverpool. He is still an immense footballer and cannot be blamed for all the shortcomings in what was a disfunctional Liverpool team (mainly last season). With the squad's midfield overhaul in the summer, we have seen him step up again as a world-class CB.
Also, "One Tackle"? Lets face it, it was an assault. An assault by a bitter rival's player who was deliberately reckless. The fact it wasn't even given as a foul shows the level of officiating in the Premier League and how England internations get away with murder.
We're lucky to be watching Virgil Van Dijk play at all now, never mind playing *so* well, while captaining a Liverpool side who are pushing at the top of the Premier League.
Erm, my god have you even watched him this season? He is back to his best. Best in the PL again.
Blatant clickbait he’s still the best CB in the world which is a testament to his intelligence and work rate
I can't hear this
He is my inspiration
He will be back❤❤❤
VVD
Your videos need more recognition, fantastic creator who’s able to summarise such a wide range of topics so well. See you at 10k and more subs soon 👌
Let's go! 🚀
Also months behind the curve having seemingly not watched Liverpool play even once this season.
Great video 🤙🏾💯
He is back ❤❤❤❤
Hes back and better
For sure in the top 10 of all time. Although i will rate him behind Beckenbauer, Maldini, Moore, Baresi. Probably in the same category as Cannavaro, Nesta, Scirea. He is easily in the top 2 of the best CBs of the last 15 years (with Sergio Ramos). And while Sergio Ramos has the better career (Trophy wise and Longevity/Accolades) i would say that VVD at his peak was the best defender by some margin.
Make a video about Nicholas Pepe
I'd say top 10 of all time. In his prime top 3. Great video btw
Id say prime wise he would be 4th behind Maldini, Becanbower, and Ramos
@@CommanderRexYThe had best prime a defender could possibly have
@@CommanderRexYTit was just really short
Prime Van Dijk was an alien 👽
@@CommanderRexYThe had comfortably the best 2 year stretch of any defender in history
Virgil, if you're watching this, it's called bull***t.
