As a civilian every time i pass by camp Pellington and see the marines aircraft and f35’s i just can’t help but to smile and only wished i would’ve joined but also i love my civ life to give it up to serve for 4 years salutes to our service members tho
I grew up in Poway & know the Miramar area very well. I've never heard of that area referred to as 'Wilderness', lol. It's all open fields with sage. There's the county dump to their south, accessed from off Convoy Street.
Marines love to walk ..... a lot. Joe Galloway was embedded with a Marine unit in Vietnam for six months and said he wore out three pair of jungle boots in those six months. That's when he decided to go out with the Army. At least then he was able to ride in trucks and helicopters.
The only place I know where cobblers still exist is on a Marine Corps base swear to god lol. At the end of boot camp they sent our boots off to be souled at the cobbler that was in 2006 dono if they still do it.
AFAIK, they used to test rocket engines there, in particular for the Atlas in the 1960s. The test rig was there until the early 2000s, don't know whether it is still there. They also tested Stingers there in the early 1980s.
Can I post the RFP to start training on radio survey with a lot of timing and synchronization? Like, I would counsel funding from Department of Commerce to supply atomic clocks or fancy quartz resonators; and Department of Defense administration to do repeated drills with statistics and user data on sub-second scales. It just seems useful to see how well they can set up all of the radio survey with respect to time and timing, I guess.
It must be nice stationed in California however because of comfortability the marines lose the ability to be acclimated to harsher conditions of weather ☀️
Having spent 12 years out of my twenty at Camp Pendleton I never had a problem with getting acclimated. Camp Pendleton can be really cold in the winter months and when its raining in those winter months its a lot worse. Also, we have a place on Camp Pendleton called Case Springs, it gets pretty cold up there in the winter as well.
Mag nesium shell. Farm chem. Ask army silencer. Big tanks chem trails. Anesthesia and low grade pcp. I'm a toxic. OK. Charlie Charlie Charlie. Tango tango. Alpha

I live near and always wondered what they did with all that land

We're in a war over there too?

Ever heard of Starlink….😂
😂
Is there a point your trying to make? Star link is a civillan internet network. This is encrypted military comms that are vital to the Corps mission.
@@marine102192his name is Kumar. He doesn't understand basic math
I was in the military bud. We had encrypted satellite communications all over the world. Typical Marines are always behind the learning curve 😂
Seal Team 6 has encrypted satellite phones I have used myself in the middle of the ocean. Not impressed marines.
