That was really impressive. He turned a dangerous de-flanking character into a guy staring at the respawn timer in 1 second.
The thing is that was a GM Genji versus a Plat Mcree. 99/100 the GM Genji would the fight. As the flanker it's all knowing how to counterplay the counters i.e. deflecting the flashbang. I'm sure had that been a GM Mcree it would have gone differently.

Its a tracking technique where you move your mouse nonstop without going off the enemy's body, while keeping your aim moving all the time its easier to follow up the target(s) leading in successful tracking.
You don't need every member of your team on the payload 100% of the time. I have friends who are low ranked that have this mentality as well, sometimes it's better to extend and push the enemies back so the payload moves uncontested, instead of having everyone stand on it and fighting big team fights
perrytheply Well, I'm a D.va Main and The game plan for every "Escort the payload thing" is That I stand on the payload (but I'm literally the only Tank on my team) and if Enemies try to stop the payload, I start attacking on higher grounds (the top of the payload) and my allies Back me up (The only Fricking problem is the Zarya that is on the other team sometimes!)
The thing I find most impressive with these GM players is not their aim, not their callouts, not even their game sense, but their amazing attitude towards what happens in the game. Most players at ranks like platinum and below (including myself) would have flipped out if the game ended like it did. These guys kept a completely cool head about it, which is something I (as well as the majority of the Overwatch player-base ) could definitely learn from.
It's absolutely disgusting that I play at a higher level than these players and just can't get noticed. I may be stuck in silver but that doesn't mean shit, since elo hell is real and is keeping me from reaching my full potential. I play at top 500 level and the only thing keeping me from reaching top 1 are my bad teammates. A tip for knowing if you're stuck: her voice lines change depending "Gotcha!" -- you're stuck "Time's up!" -- Bomb isn't close "Here you go!" -- Bomb is close Tracer's voice lines are also different when playing her: "Right on target" -- Enemy stuck "Wait for it!" -- Bomb missed
It'd be interesting to see if we could ever put half of a pro team against a team of, say, plats. I wonder how difficult it would be for Taimou, Mickie, and Chipshajen from EnVyUs to play against a full plat team, because they have way more coordination and teamwork than three random GM players.

And in all honesty, it was merely unlucky. The guy on/near the payload got alt+tab. And really the only reason the plats won defending was because Yoko was just fucking around most of the attacking round.

To be fair this is so far in favor of the Plats. 20% increase on its own isn't that much, and couple that with the fact that these players either weren't warmed up or just weren't that good in general. The plats also had the advantage of having 6 ults, and if they were to just picked characters with ults that could guaranteed kill at least one of them it would be a much easier game for the plats.
