Keep him on the B's. He is a decent player usually and add toughness and is an integral part of the team identity.

Agree. IF 🐻 make playoffs, physical play ramps up and teams will know when Freddy is on the ice!
(Edit Saturday p.m. JST)… Look at the Rempe (NYR) hit against Dallas player. Imagine that hit on Pasta, Potsy, Marchy…. You best have a few Freddys, Kastys and Zaddys in your lineup!🐻🏒

The question about Frederic comes down to factors that we can’t predict just yet.
Are the Bruins in position to make the playoffs when March rolls around?
How will Frederic performed on the ice during January thru March? Has his value increased, decreased, or remained unchanged?
What is the wider context in March; is it a sellers’ market, or a buyers’ market?
Until this picture becomes clearer, it’s kind of moot to debate about Frederic’s future. There are good reasons to extend Frederic’s tenure with Boston. But perhaps another franchise is prepared to overpay a bit at the deadline.

The comment of “go 4-0-1” with a trip on the left coast with y and Edmonton scheduled is comical. If that had happened it would mean multiple players on the other rosters were out with illness.
The Bs ended the west coast swing almost exactly where most thought they would with 10 points over 5 game. 6 would have been great. 4 would have been a mess.

The Bruins are now 6-9-1 vs playoff teams. So, still not good
Woop di do they went 2-2-1 on the road trip .500 on the nose
Beat a playoff team, lost to two of playoff teams
    Beat a .500 team & lost to a .500 team
The Bruins might be 8-4 under Sacco and 7-3-1 in that last 11
But all they've done is beat the NHLs bad teams while consistently still struggling to beat the NHLs good teams
Their win vs Vancouver was their first win vs a team within the current playoff structure since their October 26th win vs Toronto.
    Um, it's nearly January
The Bruins are making the playoffs no matter what because of two reasons
One, their talent level is still that of a playoff team
Two, MTL OTT BUF DET PIT CLB PHI NYR all stink but even one of those train wrecks will make the post season so the Bruins definitely are too
But their ceiling still is nothing more than they of a one and done playoff team
Their defensive structure & goaltending will see them play .650 or better vs the NHLs bad teams
Their lack of scoring & poor special teams play will see them play .500 or below vs the NHLs playoff caliber teams
Morgan Geekie & Justin Brazeau in their Top 6 every night is borderline comical when you think about Florida's Top 6
Tampa is also now the #3 seed in the division
Worse yet Tampa have 4 games in hand but 1 more win. They've also scored 32 more goals than Boston with a +34 goal differential to Boston's craptastic -19 goal differential on the year
The Bruins 5x5 scoring metrics still stink and so does the power play. The PK is also still not even at a league average point yet
Don Sweeney should be stoned in public if he pisses away any 1st or 2nd round picks on this beyond average team that is not a real Cup contender this season
    As for Trent Frederic...
Move him ASAP before Don Sweeney gives him Charlie Coyle's contract including the NTC
Joe saying Frederic is a 20 goal and 40 point guy and that he can be penciled in to be that moving forward...
    What?
Frederic has yet to score 20 goals in any year & he's had one 40 point year, likely his career year btw
    He's on pace for a 12 goal, 25 point year where he's currently also a terrible -13
Frederic also doesn't contribute anything on special teams
He also chirps far more then he he hits or fights anymore
And you Frederic truthers might want to look at his post season stats #garbage
Unless you love dumb penalties that is
Let some other GM pay Trent Frederic $4M-$5M on a 5-year deal to score 30 points next season
The Bruins should try to get at least a 2nd round pick for him & considering what average players go for at every trade deadline, maybe some dopey GM will give the Bruins a first round pick for him
But Sweeney can't pull another Jake Debrusk here
Where he lets a player walk as a UFA for nothing knowing they have no plans to resign him in the off season
Or pull a David Backes an overpay an average guy in Frederic that isn't a scorer or a post season performer to the degree where picks and or prospects have to be moved to get out of that bad contract a few years down the road
    Best case scenario:
Frederic gets traded for a pick and or prospects
    Worst case scenario:
Sweeney gives Frederic the Backes UFA contract
    Or
They don't deal Frederic, they win nothing in the post season & Frederic walks as a UFA for nothing this summer

time for him to go,he doesn`t do enough to warrant a spot we have numerous big guys with similar talent which is almost nonexistant,so ditch him while teams are chasing him otherwise they will catch on and realize what he is a no talent hack,he is the perfect example of what Sweeney has assembled guys who do nothing for 8-10 games then score once just to take the heat off,Fredric,Beecher,Coyle and Geekie just aren`t good enough
